All Games: MLG Anaheim WoW Teams

By: Marc Turner - Published October 22, 2009 at 5:45 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Major League Gaming announces the official team list for MLG Anaheim.

The Major League Gaming PC Circuit, played on HP, rolls into sunny southern California November 6th-8th 2009 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Once again the very best World of Warcraft teams, hand selected by MLG, will be competing for over $15,000 cash, three HP Firebird computers and a chance to compete in the MLG WoW Championships in January. Amid much speculation and much guessing at the lineup by the community, the official lineup has now been announced by MLG. The official list is as follows:

United States Evil Geniuses
United States SK.US
United States Check-Six (formerly eMg)
United States Complexity
United States Complexity BHMS
SK.EU
South Korea Button Bashers
United States Fnatic

EG returns after just missing out on an invitation to Dallas. Despite much talk of a roster change, EG is confident they will have what it takes to get back in the race and place in Anaheim. Complete with new sponsor, the former eMg lineup leads the point race and look to take the name of Check-Six to Orlando in January. First Check-Six must get past the double whammy of SK.US and SK.EU. This will be SK.EU's first appearance in the MLG PC Circuit this year but as everyone knows, SK.US is a force to be reckoned with.

Orangemarmalade and Button Bashers return to the PC Circuit, coming all the way from the land of Starcraft, South Korea. Fnatic, a name very familiar to the PC Circuit, return to the PC Circuit with douja, yog and Woundman.

Complexity also returns with a second WoW lineup added to the coL stable. Complexity has signed the MLG Anaheim Wildcard tournament second place team, BHMS. Although "For The Alliance" placed first in the wildcard tournament, that lineup was not able to attend Anaheim. The invite was then offered to the second place team. Complexity grabbed the guys up, giving two rosters from the Complexity organization in Anaheim. Complexity's Jason Bass had this to say about the new team, "Complexity is excited to be able to give some new blood the opportunity to compete on the professional level. We are eager to see how they stack up against the known teams that attend MLG events on a regular basis. We have high hopes for this new squad."

Each and every match of the MLG Anaheim WoW tournament will be streamed live at GotFrag.com, MMO-Champion.com, MLGPro.com and Gamebattles.com.
