There are some logistical issues with a tournament of that size at the Hyatt - but still the emails keep coming in. Even our sponsors are now getting requests that we increase the size of the tournament.

Before the CPL starts increasing tournament size, reducing BYOC size (we may not have to do this), requesting more tournament computers, adding more volunteers and flying in more staff - we thought it would be best to let the community of gamers decide.

One important issue is that CPL does not want to run an uneven tournament, where it has to offer buys in the first round - so if we increase the tournament to 256 spots we will need 256 people registered and attending.
