What do they do with them after CPL? Donate them? Sell em?
i would assume that the good q4 players are probably the good q3 players, and they're probably pretty used to sacrificing eye candy for performance.
i think those computers will be easily able to get 60 fps constant with moderate settings, and that's all most competitors probably ask for.
I know q4 is 1v1 but still, i hate having a good computer and having to worry about fps.
6800gt = ok i guess, should run q4 turned down without much trouble
You have 2933 posts...
Also, I can't help but wonder why these PCs require 160GB of hard disk space. Seems a bit excessive.
oooooooh the game won't run smooth on a 1600x1200 resolution with high quality settings. boohoo.
Have you ever seen Q2 and Q3 matches? some of the guys even played without textures...
and AFAIK professional players use rather low resolutions.
+ why whine, you won't play there
+ It is the same for everyone, so doesn't matter.
+ it is probably a better system than 90% of the existing system atm
+ be happy you get that box to play on in a tourney.
+ why an intel cpu and nvidia card? SPONSORS ? duh
