Hey, I'm looking for some US leagues/ladders to join 1v1 if anyone to could point me in the right direction. I'm also looking for people to train with (doesn't only have to do quakelive I have many other FPS). Send me a message through here or on quakelive @ username: nKane
if you want to get good at a game, play that game. not multiple fps's. aiming is only 10% of being good at quake. trust me, transitioning from CS to quake was no easy task.
I played Quake before I started to play CS competitively. I used play Q2 Online and with buddies on LAN quiet a bit, but I gave it up after CS 1.5 came out (Never really got in to Quake 3 Arena). I'm trying to get back in to Quake (I think the whole "Quakelive" thing is a great idea and will make a major come back in the up coming years at CPL). I'm just trying to find some people that want to play together competitively and get better while having fun and teaching each other things.
If you are looking for some tournaments the ESL usually holds 1v1's and I know CEVO just held a tournament for quake live too. Also if you look on ESReality.com then you can see news posts for new leagues for US and Europe.
