#2 thats a pretty silly statement, i use accel. And i know a lot of other players/pro's that do also.

Are there any guidelines on how you should configure it? I'm having trouble finding the right combination of sensitivity and acceleration.

acceleration is designed for microsoft office use, not games.

Is there any commands to put directly into Quake to disable accel through ingame on top of what I use in Windows?

I have CPL Mousefix installed and have my PC set to use Logitech SetPoint settings, where I have acceleration disabled. Are there any ingame commands for Quake like there are for CS (i.e. CS noforce commands).

#10 make sure m_accel/cl_mouseaccel are both set to 0 in your config/autoexec.

Got another config question...I've seen some people use cg_fov 300. What exactly does this do, do people really play at that high an FOV?

There's no reason to use an FoV that high #12 unless you're setting a zoom toggle script or something.


People generally use cg_fov's of "90 - 130"

I use 110.
