The FragArcade Quake 4 mapping contest is coming to a close soon as an update comes through regarding final submissions.

Over on ESR, Tyler "digismack" Morgan of FragArcade has released an update in regards to the FA mapping competition, pitting the best mappers in the scene against one another for a first place prize of $1,000.

"The FragArcade Quake 4 mapping contest is coming to a close. We have had 34 map entries in total and a handful of mappers have really brought their skills to the table and put up some awesome tournament quality maps.

All final map submissions are due by midnight on Wednesday the 1st of March. The maps will then be playtested and judged by a panel of professional gamers over the following week.

We will also be allowing the public to judge the maps through a web-form. There will a public server up with the final map submissions for the public to check them out. Please remember that you will need the entire map pack to be able to connect to the server.

More information will be available once the deadline has passed."

Along with this announcement comes a reminder of all the judges participating over the week.
