On June 10-12, Zion, Illinois will host the 2006 Zion Lan. All proceeds benefit people with disabilities.

When Zion Lan launched registration on May 1st, details of the Quake 4 tournament were unannounced. The prizes have now been released and there should be no disappointed players in the Quake community.

Win a Gaming Laptop
Want to win a brand new laptop co-designed by Ferrari (yes, the car company!) and Acer? Newegg has provided TWO of these bad boys to give away at the event. Registered attendees will soon be able to purchase raffle tickets online (or anyone can purchase them at the event) for a chance to win one of these awesome laptops. Tickets will cost $5.00 each (or 5 for $20.00).

Quake IV Prizes - Win Another Gaming Laptop
Don't want to pay for raffle tickets? Work up your Quake IV skills and participate in our FREE Quake IV 1 v. 1 tournament - first prize is the second Acer Ferrari laptop! Second prize isn't too shabby, either - a custom single stage phase cooling unit by our gold sponsor, Tech-Vue.com, whose products are making their debut appearance at Zion LAN 2006. Third prize is a Connect3D ATi X1800 GTO 256MB graphics card, fourth prize is a PowerColor ATi X1600 XT graphics card, and fifth prize is a Seasonic S12 Power Supply. Even though this is a free tournament, you MUST sign up in advance as there will not be space available once the event begins. There are only 32 spots available, so buy your seat and sign up for the tournament today!

These prizes come in addition to the already announced $1750 cash purses in both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source.  There are also plans to add a Call of Duty 2 tournament if the community gives it enough support.  The registration cost of Zion Lan 2006 is $40 per person and for each team tournament that you participate in there is an additional fee.  Quake IV has no additional tournament fee.
