Fatal1ty always tackles every major gaming and hardware event in full force. E3 was no exception. The Fatal1ty booth was a traffic intersection on the E3 floor, showing off both new hardware as well as the upcoming FPS game, Prey. Also packaged along with Jonathon Wendel was F-Player’s Alessandro "stermy" Avallone and Magnus "fojji" Olsson. I had a few brief moments to sit down and ask the F-Players what they have been up to the past few months, and what they’ve had their eyes on at E3.

Stermy, you’ve been with F-Player since Quake 4’s launch, correct?

Stermy: I joined Free Player right before the World Tour final last year with Painkiller in New York. That really helped me because I could practice with Jon (Wendel), so we were playing really good for the finals, and we actually placed first, with Jon winning 150,000 dollars, and me third, winning 70,000 dollars. Now we have a new Free-Player, which is Magnus (Olsson).

(to Fojji) You signed just a few weeks ago, correct?

Fojji: I’ve been in contact with them for a quite while now, but it just went official just now recently.

What have you guys been up to - are you still focusing on Quake 4? I know that Quake 4 took a hit recently with the CPL World Tour coming apart; what have you been doing lately?

Stermy: We are still playing Quake 4 of course, we are going to play at every stop of the World Series of Video Games, because it's still a good game, and this year is going to [be] really important for making eSports a real sport. Quake 4 is going to be our main game.

Fojji: Yea, we’re definitely going to continue to play Quake 4, CPL seems to be back with a new sponsor, I’m sure they’re going to have Quake 4 next year as well, so there will be plenty of Quake 4 tournaments.

Have you guys looked at anything at E3 that you might be interested in playing down the line, such as Prey?

Fojji: I played a bit of Prey and its very fresh, very fun. I can see a lot of people enjoying Prey and it having a big community.

Stermy: We have fifteen computers here with Prey on it, but I haven’t had a chance to play it yet, and Magnus told me already it looks good, so I will give it a try.

Prey seems to be more of a team based game than a Dueling game, if you had to, would you make the permanent move into a 4vs4 game or anything like that?

Stermy: Well, we are probably the best players out there, so if we have to play a team based game we are going to switch.

Fojji: I have no idea, the maps they have on display seem to big for 1vs1 but we will have to see when the game comes out.

What’s your next major event you will be playing in?

Stermy: I’ll be playing in the World Series of Gaming event in Kentucky along with Jonathon.

Fojji: I’ll be playing at the Dreamhack World Series of Gaming event at the same time.
