Today, the CPL one-versus-one Competition Committee decided to alter the Quake 4 map list for the soon to be announced CPL 2006 season, and The CPL Winter Championships.

The revised Quake 4 map rotation will include Galang 1.1, Monsoon 1.1, Phrantic, Placebo Effect, and A Man Called Sun.

The Quake 4 map selection process for a five map rotation will consist of the following steps:

1. Each player will select a map of their choice.

2. The higher seed will select which map to play first.

3. In the event of a 1-1 map tie, each player will throw out one of the remaining three maps and the remaining map will be selected as a tie breaker. In the event that one map is selected by both players, then the tie breaker map will be the same map selected.
