The biggest Quake 4 tournament of the year is here, and GotFrag gives you an inside look at what to expect! ![]() 1st: $20,000, Travel & Lodging for Finals 2nd: $15,000, Travel & Lodging for Finals 3rd: $10,000 4th: $6,500 5th: $4,500 6th: $3,750 7th: $2,250 8th: $1,500 9th - 12th: $1,125 13th - 16th: $750 Schedule: Wednesday: 12:00 Noon - 7:00PM Tournament Check-in Thursday: 10:00AM - 11:00PM Matches Friday: 10:00AM - 11:00PM Matches Saturday: 10:00AM Matches Begin - Finals at 9:00PM Three hundred and twenty-five players are signed up for the tournament, and with a $20,000 grand prize this is set to be the largest Quake 4 tournament to date. Some of the top competitors in the world will not be in attendance, including 3 of the top 8 finishers at ESWC; Cooller, Clamp-ok, and Cypher will all miss the Intel Summer Championship due to extenuating circumstances that are out of their control. Cooller confirmed today on ESReality that he is having visa troubles and will not attend, and both Clamp-ok and Cypher are only 16 years old, falling a year short of the WSVG’s age requirement of 17. That is not going to stop the competition though, as the show will go on with a very competitive field showing up for Dallas.
