The CPL has revised its Q3 map list for the World Season due to a bug.
The CyberAthlete Professional League has announced that it will be revising the map list for the Quake 3 competition in its upcoming World Season 2006. The details are listed below in this press release from www.thecpl.com:
The CPL's one-versus-one competition committee has determined that one of the four Quake 3 maps currently in the map rotation for the 2006 World Season, nodm9, contains a bug. This bug, while minor and not exploitable, has led the CPL to contact the creator of the map and obtain a patched version titled pro-nodm9.
Both the CPL and the committee wants to ensure that any bugs are found and resolved before tournament play, rather than having this bug alter any of the match results.
The changes to this map are: the patched bug, found in the upper level next to a column by the Rail Gun, as well as the switch of the Shotgun located near the lava by the Red Armor to a Grenade Launcher.
The one-versus-one committee has determined that the patches on the map are not major changes and should not alter any gameplay for the tournaments. You can download the patched version of the map, from ftp.thecpl.com HERE
