The AMERICAN STEEL, Rafik "LoSt-CaUsE" Bryant, who just recently won the rAge 2006 event and placed third this past weekend at WSVG London, has split with his sponsor the WarezAbouts LAN Centers.

Bryant signed on with the LAN center after a split with his old organization TeK-9, which apparently went sour shortly after the Intel Summer Championships event. "They made promises they didn't keep" Bryant told GotFrag back in Late July.

Bryant now finds himself sponsorless once again even with his amazing play as of late. When asked back in July why he decided to join the WarezAbouts team rather than other e-sports organizations, Bryant responded that "they came to me with an unselfish offer, and I felt that it was in my best interest to join with them".

The WarezAbouts team has left the following statement regarding the split:

Warezabouts LAN Centers will no longer be sponsoring Rafik "LoSt-CaUsE" Bryant. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and are proud of the accomplishments he made.

We hope that this is an amicable departure. Rafik is currently the number 1 American dueller and should have no problems finding representation from another source. We are sorry that the relationship had to end, and look forward to watching his achievements in the future.

Bryant has declined commenting on the issue. He will be playing in this weekend's $12,500 DigitalLife Quake 4 1v1 tournament.
