Quake: eSportsTV to Cast WCG Clash Tournament

eSports TV will be providing video footage and casting of the WCG Holiday Clash tournament.
NEW YORK, NY, December 6, 2006 – Videogame fans everywhere can cheer on their favorite gamers during the heated competition that’s expected at the WCG Holiday Clash presented by Intel, thanks to a partnership between Web-based videogame broadcaster eSportsTV (www.esportstv.com) and the World Cyber Games (WCG). The WCG Holiday Clash is an online tournament featuring Quake 4 and Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs that will run December 11 - 17, 2006.

As it has done for countless competitions, eSportsTV.com will provide video and commentary for the WCG Holiday Clash tournament, beginning at 9PM EST on Monday, Dec. 11, at http://wcg.esportstv.com. Marquee matches will be viewable on-demand and the Final Four Round will be matchcasted LIVE by eSportsTV’s Bruce Bisland.

For the thousands of US competitors who participated in the World CyberGames this year, the WCG Holiday Clash is another chance to build competition experience during the off-season as well as to try competing in different games. It’s also a great way to stock up on hot games, gear,and cash just in time for the holidays!

Prizes:

• 1st Place: In addition to a $1,000 cash prize, first place winners in each game will receive an Intel Core 2 Extreme quad core processor-poweredGateway PC (a $5,000 value), and a Microsoft PC Game Pack, which includes: Lego, Star Wars II, Flight Sim X, Company of Heroes and Zoo Tycoon 2: ZooKeepers Collection, among others.

• 2nd Place: Second place winners will receive an Intel Core 2 Extremedual core processor, a Samsung 931C gaming monitor and the Microsoft PCGame Pack.

• 3rd Place: The third place finishers will get an Intel Core 2 Extremedual core processor as well as the Microsoft PC Game Pack.The approximate total value of the cash and prizes is over $16,000.
