Sweden based Evolve-Gaming, host to this past weekend's third 1v1 duel event for the community, has announced that they have acquired the Quake 4 TDM team aCtion Ligan. The team recently finished third in this year's EuroCup and was one of two European teams, along with the iCE cLIMBERS, to attend the TransAtlantic Showdown back in March 2006. The team was recently a part of the a-Losers organization but split earlier this year.

"We are very happy about having this successful team aboard to help our growing as an organisation" reads a statement on the official Evolve-Gaming website. "By adding another top team in Quake4, Evolve Gaming will establish itself as a top organization within the Quake scene."

The players join the organization as Evolve's new TDM team, along with their duelers and founders Christoffer "monztr" Bergman and Kristian "Frexuz" Gerardsson. It's a possibility some of the aCtion players will play duel as well but not for the time being.

"Shorlty after monztr joined us in aCtion, we talked with him and Frexus about joining together", Fredrik "aZ1d" Tallberg tells GotFrag. "After a while we saw the oppertunity that not only do we promote the evolve gaming name, but it also gives us alot of exposure."

Tallberg's longtime teammate Pierre "bl4jnd" Edlund sees a bright future for the team. "It's going to be a pleasure to play with their name. We will for sure evolve our gaming to another level that nobody has ever seen before."
