This years Quake 4 event, taking place at the WSVG Louisville LanWar event, will be one of the largest LAN events for Quake 4 this year. Players including Rafik "Lost-Cauze" Bryant, Magnus "fojji" Olsson, and Maciej "av3k" Kryzykowski, along with many others will be in attendance this year. Players will be taking a shot at the first place prize of $5,250 cash and a $1,000 travel stipend. 64 players from many countries abroad will be in attendance making it a sold out event. WSVG Louisville should be one of the most exciting events for Quake 4 this year, having it's share of upsets like any other tournament Quake 4 has seen.

Something to point out, and something which might be a major factor in the Quake 4 competition is the recent release of the 1.4.2 patch for Quake 4. One can question whether or not WSVG will be using it and the pros and cons it might bring to the event if it is used. Many professional players, practicing for the past few months with the previous patch, have said that they can see that the new version will affect the competition in one way or another.
