Team Excello has decided to host a Quake 4 Cup, sponsored by SteelSeries. Team Excello will be putting on a Quake 4 Cup series that will start next week. It will be comprised of four qualifying tournaments and then a Grand Finals in the fifth week. From each of the four qualifiers, the top two players will automatically move into the Grand Finals. Also, the event is being sponsored by SteelSeries, and there will be prizes for winners of the qualifiers as well as the Grand Finals. Heres a rundown of how it will be run:Format: Quake 4 1.42 w/ Q4MAX .78d Best of 3 Maps All Rounds Each map lasts 15 minutes Double Elimination Open Sign up Each tournament played start to finish each Saturday Maps: Phrantic Placebo Effect Monsoon Torment Ravage I spoke with the director of the tournament, Justin 'Razorman' Witz, and he said "We hope that this cup can take off just like our Warcraft III and Starcraft cups have. We are thankful that we could get this tournament sponsored by SteelSeries, and we really just want the players to have a good time and for the community to become even bigger."
