What were your initial thoughts after hearing the news that WSVG was being shut down?
Johan "
toxjq" Quick: I really looked forward to finishing this season of WSVG, and especially to be playing the grand final at Dreamhack in Sweden in November. So I'm disappointed that I will no longer have that to look forward to. This decision really hurt pro gaming, but I'm sure it will bounce back soon.

Chance "
EG|chance" Lacina: One word; Damn.

Magnus "
fojji" Olsson: I wasn't sure if I believed it at first. I mean, they added an EXTRA stop in Toronto just weeks before. If anything, it felt like they were doing well. Also, I felt it was a sad thing for eSports and mainly Quake 4 since now there is not much to keep player's motivation up.

Tim "
EG|DaHanG" Fogarty: Initially, I was completely shocked. Even though the WSVG had their problems, I couldn't imagine them just stopping the entire league. It took about a day for it to sink in.

Maciej "
srs`av3k" Krzykowski: The first time I heard I really didn't react like the rest of the players I talked to. I really didn't care that much when the news first broke. I still don't.

Dave "
x3o.icel0re" Ritson: My initial thoughts were pretty much like everyone else's, but most centering on disbelief. Since last year, the WSVG has been this sort of "larger than life" LAN organization in a lot of people's eyes, and when the announcement was made, it left me with a lot of questions.

Tom "
griffin" Wall: It didn't really hit me when I was reading about the news, but after a day or two, I really started to realize how much it was going to effect my plans for the rest of the year. I thought that WSVG was going to be one of those companies we would see years down the road and stay on top as the main name for eSports tournaments. I enjoyed all the events, even though the Louisville stop was a disaster. I just think they maybe should have put my thought into it before closing it down and maybe hold one more event.

Aaron-Anton "
dignitas/HELL" Jones: I was disappointed, considering I was booked for going to L.A, an event I was really looking forward to and couldn't wait for and even booked time off work to attend, so as you can tell I was quite shocked and gutted that It was no longer happening.

Jon "
Dyn`Judge" Leathery: I was pretty surprised. I didn't think WSVG was planning on cancelling their events at all.

Therese "
g0d-trito" Andersson: In my eyes, WSVG was one of the most well organized tournaments I've ever been to, and everything seemed to be going very well. When I was at Toronto, I hadn’t seen any indicators that pointed towards a shut down, so I was shocked when I heard the news.

Tim "
eMg-naymlis" Bowes: I was pretty shocked and disappointed when I first found out. I was finally able to make it to a WSVG stop and they cancel it :(

Gregory "
falcuma" Ollivier: It was a disappointing moment for me, because I wanted to attend the London event, and of course for the whole community. It was the only/last big event supporting Quake 4, so it was a bad news... But right now I think it is better this way. The players will bring back the events, not the events bringing back the players.

James "
ERMAC" Boyd: At first I was pretty upset about it. Right now though, I'm not too worried about it. Doors open and close; I can only see good things coming from this.

Jeffrey "
draven" Debipersad: Definitely bad. I was looking forward to going and competing in London.

Erika "
pMs^kassi" Sinnott: I was kind of shocked and actually didn't believe it at first when a friend told me.
