Announced just a few short weeks ago, the Total Gaming League is really drawing some major attention around the Enemy Territory Quake Wars community with it's ETQW Demo Tournament. Though there are a couple ETQW tournaments in the upcoming weeks, the Scorched Earth tourney really sticks out with its extremely tough competition and the large amount of prizes being offered to winners.

This past Thursday, signups closed and the first round of the TGL Scorched Earth tournament got underway, consisting of only one match to decide the 64th seed in the tournament. With the second round going down today, September 23rd, the rest of the field will get their first matches in this incredible tournament. With a total of 65 teams in the mix, this tournament will be the premiere online event in the ETQW community.

Not being confined to any one continent, teams from Europe and South America are also joining the fight in this immense online tournament. North American teams such as Team HOT, 20ID, Exile and Check Six, and international teams like QuakeCon 2007 champions, Team Dignitas and Norweigan-based, Ponniklubben Gaming, competition is sure to get hot in the upcoming weeks.
