The Total Gaming League has began its sponsored Enemy Territory Quake Wars tournament, featuring the best ETQW teams in the world. This event is looking to be the premier online tournament for the game this year. This past Thursday, signups closed and the first round of the TGL Scorched Earth tournament got underway, consisting of only one match to decide the 64th seed in the tournament. With the second round going down today, September 23rd, the rest of the field will get their first matches in this incredible tournament. With a total of 65 teams in the mix, this tournament will be the premiere online event in the ETQW community. Not being confined to any one continent, teams from Europe and South America are also joining the fight in this immense online tournament. North American teams such as Team HOT, 20ID, Exile and Check Six, and international teams like QuakeCon 2007 champions, Team Dignitas and Norweigan-based, Ponniklubben Gaming, competition is sure to get hot in the upcoming weeks.
