Today, after weeks of specualation, i32 announced that it would hold a 20k Quake 4 tournament, sponsored by Intel.
After weeks of rumors, i32 announced that it will hold a Quake 4 competition with a prize pool of 20k, sponsored by Intel, at it's event November 9th through 12th. Being the only major Quake 4 LAN in the world, at the moment, it is drawing the majority of the world's top Quake 4 players. Some names that have already announced their attendance are:

United Kingdom Jay "2GD" Harding
Poland Maciej "av3k" Krzykowski
United States Chance "chance" Lacina
Germany Peter "cYmoZz" Sellmaier
Belarus Alexey "Cypher" Yanusheuski
United States Tim "DaHang" Fogarty
United Kingdom Ben "dallow" Dalloway
United Kingdom Philip "Dozo" Hughes
Netherlands Jeffrey "draven" Debipersad
France Michael "winz" Bignet
United Kingdom Gareth "GaRpY" Marshall
United Kingdom Aaron-Anton "HELL" Jones
Germany Marcel "K1llsen" Paul
Sweden Josef "NaAani" Schwan
Sweden Mikael "PURRI" Tarvainen
Sweden Johan "toxjq" Quick

Though it's been a little more than two months since the last WSVG event, expect players like toxjq, DaHanG and Cypher to still be in top form, as they have still been practicing Quake 4 even after the announcement of the end of WSVG. This is also a good list of names that probably attended WSVG London, so it will be exciting to see this diverse field finally get to play each other, as many of the names have never played each other on LAN.
