Today, the i32 Quake 4 Competition will wrap up as the last few matches are played out. Let's take a look at them. In one of the first matches, we'll see the exciting matchup between Tim "DaHanG" Fogarty and fellow EG teammate, Chance "chance" Lacina. After bootcamping with eachother for the past few weeks, both players seem to be at a top level, despite not competing on LAN since August. As for predictions though, this one looks like it will be pretty one sided. After Lacina's three-map scare against Geo yesterday, it's hard to see him turning the tables against the dominant Fogarty. DaHanG should take this one in two. In our next Lower Bracket match, we see a similar situation as heavily favored Alexey "Cypher" Yanusheuski steps into the ring with Swedish Quaker Mikael "PURRI" Tarvainen. This match also looks to be extremely one sided, as Tarvainen has yet to show he has what it takes to compete on an international level in Quake 4. Again, I think it would be a pretty safe bet to say that Cypher will take down PURRI in two maps. With that said, we come to the Upper Bracket Finals match between Johan "toxjq" Quick and Maciej "av3k" Krzykowski. What a suprise! Who knew it would be these two? Sarcasm aside though, this will most likely be a preview of the Grand Finals match, as both players are obviously just playing on a higher level than anyone else in the tournament. After av3k's convincing win over DaHanG in Round 3 and toxjq's win over cypher, it's only likely that these two will meet back up. Looking at this match though, it's hard to really say who will win, at this point. I will give the slight nod to Quick though, based on their past games and the matched played yesterday. It wouldn't surprise me if this one went to a third map, but I would expect to see toxjq to send av3k on down to the Lower Bracket when all is said and done. i32 Quake 4 Grand Finals
This match is "Best of Five". In addition, Quick was awarded the first map because he was coming from the Upper Bracket. An odd format, but what can you do? i32 Quake 4 Lower Bracket Finals
