Welcome to the GotFrag Quake Classic, sponsored by Microsoft, featuring Quake Live! GotFrag, Major League Gaming and GameBattles is proud to announce the first GotFrag Quake Classic.

Quake was there at the birth of eSports. Names such as Fatal1ty, Stermy, Voo and many more cut their teeth on competitive Quake. Now that classic game, community and competitive spirit are blazing back with the release of iD Software's 100% free, browser based version of Quake III.

The GotFrag Quake Classic will bring together the old and the new and the very best of the game into a battle for pride, Microsoft merchandise and cash! The Classic will feature two tournaments in one with a classic one versus one Death Match format and a four versus four Clan Arena format. All this with a completely free, browser based PC game.

Registration is now open and will remain open until August 31st, 2009 at 9:00 PM EST. Match play begins on September 1st with the 1v1 having a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule and the 4v4 a Tuesday/Thursday Schedule. Update: Due to overwhelming community demand, entry fees for this tournament have been lowered and cash prize payout ratio has been raised.

# One (1) 1st prize will be awarded to the winning team. The 1st place team shall receive: $300 USD in cash. Each player shall receive 10 credits and (1) Microsoft SideWinder X6 Keyboard.

# One (1) 2nd prize will be awarded to the 2nd place team. The 2nd place team shall receive: $150 USD in cash. Each player shall receive 10 credits and (1) Microsoft SideWinder X5 Mouse.

# One (1) 3rd prize will be awarded to the 3rd place team. The 3rd place team shall receive: 10 credits.

# One (1) 4th prize will be awarded to the 4th place team. The 4th place team shall receive: 10 credits.
