Starcraft: asS Wins WCG Mexico SC Finals

By: Lucas Bigham - Published June 25, 2007 at 8:48 PM EDT - Writer Archive
This past weekend, the WCG Pan American tournament was not the only event taking place. The WCG Mexico Starcraft finals were also in full swing with the first place finisher winning a ticket to Seattle.
This past weekend was very busy in Cancun, Mexico. Not only was the WCG Pan American finals taking place, but also the WCG Mexico finals to see who will be representing their country in Seattle later this year. This years competitors was relatively small compared to previous years with many of the more well-known Mexican gamers not competing in the finals.

Unfortunately, last years defending champion Jorge Hernández “LG)StYm” Teja chose to sit this years competition out. In his place, his very own brother Daniel Hernandez "BringiT.asS" Teja would be attending instead. Apparently, the Starcraft gene runs in the Teja family because he was successful in winning a trip to Seattle to represent his country in the Starcraft competition.

Final Standings:

1. BringiT.asS
2. BringiT.SMall
3. LG)BlasT
4. CarLoS[db]
