Sixteen of the strongest players in North America have been handpicked to compete for a spot to train with the South Korean professional gaming team eSTRO. When this event was first announced, many were skeptical about eSTRO's intentions to go after a North American. While the team is looking for a skilled individual, they are said to also be looking for someone that is marketable. With the North American gaming market being one of the largest in the world, the decision to perhaps send an American to South Korea to compete with the best could be quite beneficial to e-sports in the United States and Canada. The North American Starcraft community is without a doubt one of the strongest. Right up there with the likes of China, Poland, and Germany who have a reputation for producing some of the strongest players outside of South Korea. Once the tournament is completed the top five finishers will be asked to submit their replays to the eSTRO coaching staff. The coaches will use these replays to analyze each player and then choose who they believe would be the best fit for the team. If you are interested in learning more about this event click here.
