(Los Angeles, CA) - After months of preliminaries both offline and online, ten of the strongest American gamers have proven their worth to advance to the national finals. This group of competitors is an even mix of veterans and rising new talent that will be making their World Cyber Games debut for the first time.

Some of the more notable competitors include the professional gamer Greg "IdrA" Fields and Spirit Tournament finalist Tyler "NonY" Wasieleski. The defending champion Geoff "iNcontroL" Robinson will also be competing after being awarded a spot in the last minute. The WCG veterans Dan "Artosis" Stemkoski, last years 3rd place finisher, and Sherwin "Yosh" Mahbod will be returning from a hiatus to compete this year - he finished in second place at the U.S. finals in 2005.

The first matches are set to begin on Oct. 3 at 11:00 EST.
