The Woongjin Stars have finalized a deal yesterday to bring back former Hanbit superstar Joon Yung "GGPlay" Kim after his eight month long stay with CJ Entus.
Kim has officially registered with KeSPa as a player for the Woongjin Stars.

"It feels like going back home," Kim said. "I been through alot with the team's coach and players in the past, so I think I can focus on the game comfortably."

Back in March of this year, he made the switch from Hanbit Stars, now Woongjin Stars, to CJ Entus. For some time, Kim, who currently ranks 28th in the October KeSPa Rankings, remains one of the most dominant Zerg players in the world. His most notable achievement came in 2007 when he won the Daum OGN StarLeague Season 1.

After securing a new main sponsor for the team, Woongjin Stars have been looking to buy more players to strengthen their lineup. Due partly because of requests by fans, they made the decision to contact Kim about rejoining his former team.

"Personally I wanted to bring back this player more than any other players and I'm really happy that the transfer worked out," Woongjin Stars coach Jae Kyun Lee said. "I expect him to create synergy effect with current players quickly and contribute in increasing team's strength."

He is expected to be their "ace" player - meaning he is a generally consistent performer that can bring the team wins in pressure situations.

"I want to work together with teammates and qualify for the playoffs as well as to win the championship," Kim added.
