The BlizzCon 2009 StarCraft competition features the best in the world. One of the tournaments that will be hosted is a StarCraft Invitational Tournament. Blizzard has invited some of the top veterans and top younger players in the world to battle it out for a top prize at BlizzCon 2009. It comes to no surprise that five out of the eight people that were invited are from South Korea. South Korea has always embraced StarCraft as a way of celebrity status and the country has always produced some of the top players in the world. Savior and Nada, two top South Korean players, are two of the favorites coming into this event. It seems when you hear about StarCraft in the US, these names almost always are mentioned. Notably invited to the tournament is American player Greg "IDRA" Fields. He is the only American that will be competing in the StarCraft event. The other two players are from China and The Netherlands. Blizzcon 09 Starcraft Grand Finals

sAviOr has this since he's the "king" of special events, but SkyHigh and eFFort has a huge chance.
I am looking forward to watching IdrA play Effort just to see if he puts up a good fight and Ret vs. NaDa because its always a pleasure to see NaDa playing and Ret is very skilled so it will be a pretty good match.
ZerO defeating Sky is the only upset I see happening.
"We are pleased to announce that this year, for the first time, all of our streaming tournament coverage for BlizzCon will be available in both high-resolution and low-resolution formats."
"To clarify, the tournament coverage streams are free, but to watch panels, see new announcements as they are made, or receive the in-game pet, you will need to order the Pay Per View Internet stream. "

p.s. Effort will take the tournament.
Ret is probably going to struggle since he plays offrace (Terran) against Zerg. However, his first match against Nada could be close since Ret's ZvT is pretty solid and Nada isn't exactly top-caliber anymore. Could be an upset in the making.
Idra vs Effort should be a real good match if Effort plays straight up. Idra's been getting beastly since going to Korea, dunno if he's good enough to take a bo3 off any of them though.
Don't really know how good the Chinese Z is. First time I'm hearing of him.
No protoss is a bit of a shame..
Also, just realized with Idra there's a total of 4 CJ players.
