C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\steamloginname\team fortress 2\tf\cfg

In that folder, create a notepad file and rename it autoexec.cfg Make sure u can change the file extension. In the autoexec.cfg file is where u put all the commands.

Also add -dxlevel 81 in your lauch options. Make sure to also put all the sound commands in option to the lowest settings.

man, its not like ONE COMMAND is going to fix all your FPS issues. You get what you pay for.

Yes, it'll help quite a bit, probably the most of all of the commands.

For some people, that isn't an option. A lot of people still have old socket AMD mobos, or single core P4 mobos, etc., and can't upgrade with upgrading every aspect of their system. The mobo determines what RAM you can use, processor, video card, everything. And then say you have good enough of one thing, but have to upgrade your mobo for another, chances are you have to upgrade the items you already had that were up to par, just because of the mobo switch. Basically, it is generally costly.

I added mat_dxlevel 81 to my autoexec.cfg, my fps increased but if i kill any player, their corpse dissapears after 1 second, how can i prevent that from happening?

I only use mat_dxlevel 81 which helps alot, but all my graphic settings are set to High when I restart TF2, and I want most of them on Low or Normal. Are there any commands to set those?

What commands(s) make it so your water is black and you can't see through it?

What command(s) make it so some objects can't render, like the railings on the stairways at CP1 on Well or the lamp post you can jump on on red side outside of middle on cp_well?

#21 r_WaterDrawRefraction makes the water black if its set to 0. To fix it make it 1

anyone know how to make the bodies just disapear instead of gibbing if they blow up? but keep the bodies that are killed with guns?
