i would guess he thinks a heavy frag movie cant be very exciting i was very curious to see what was going to be on this vid. my conclusion is that soldier makess better frag vids. it was still very impressive and entertaining to watch
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if the guy's on one of the best TF2 teams in the world, I think he can do whatever the hell he wants. 4k's the only clan I've seen so far with the balls to put a heavy in just about everywhere, and they seem to be doing quite well. Stop hating and enjoy the movie.
P.S. I sorta agree with #6, Soldier frag vids are flashier (c'mon, airshots are just cool) but that doesn't hurt the validity of a solid heavy or demo frag movie. Great job, Riemu.
*EDIT* In lieu of Riemu's edit (and going and watching some EU demos), it seems heavy's are pretty damn effective :)

Hehe i expected such remarks from you americans, considering the fact you dont even play with heavy. But from you Reptile? Im really disappointed!
First of all, this movie should be nothing more then entertaining. Thats the whole point of such a movie.
And i really dont think you have ever played or even tried to play Heavy in a serious match. Because if you did, you wouldnt make such comments about skill - nor would anyone else who has the same attitude as you.
Edit:
@rk-: Every European Team is using a heavy - not only 4Kings. syre, Fracture, TLR, idac etc. - they all climbed on the heavy train and they are all doing quite well. Because playing No-Crits against against a Heavy Team (without you using a heavy) gives you a huge handicap.
I agree Soldiers are flashier but Heavies have their own skill level. Soldiers have the ¨holy sh¡t factor¨ but Heavies have the ¨lol¨ factor which works pretty well in frag videos.
Heavies are more than just point and shoot is about predicting rushes, avoiding damage and picking targets.
Rant: Seriously, if you think Heavies are so easy to play then go ahead and play one yourself, I ASSURE you that you wont even perform NEAR Riemus level, and I cant believe people are talking down to a 4K member... Jesus Christ... They are as pro as you can get in TF2, ignorant @$$holes.
Joke (just for the sake of it :p): ¨Nice video, I always wanted to know what being a sentry was like¨
Im sorry to disappoint you mate! 2 of these 3 games were played with Anti-Cheat Tools.
SGL semi-final was played using SGL Anti-Cheat, which send my config + information to the SGL admins + uploaded around 15 randomly taken screenshots to my SGL Account.
The ESL Final was played using Aequitas, one of the most advanced Anti-Cheat Tools in Professional Gaming.
You can download my Aequitas Zip file directly from the ESL Page below - including randomly taken Screenshots + a full copy of my config files + a log of what programs have been launched during the game:
I think there's definitely a good place for heavy on most maps when you play without crits. The thing is, North Americans just started to play without crits and some haven't realized it. Having said that, I can look at half of the classes in TF2 and ignorantly say "that takes absolutely no skill". But I've played with multiple people using these "skilless" classes and there's a huge difference between someone who is actually good with that class and someone who is not so that right there tells you there is skill involved.
It might be easy to go into a pub and do well using a heavy, engineer, or even a pyro for that matter, but try using these classes vs. top teams and you'll see how much skill it takes to stay alive and still be effective. Now I generally wouldn't use a pyro aside from an uber rush or a desperate attempt to save a point, but all those classes do take a lot of skill to be effective with.
Heavy and engineer remind me of the medic in the beginning of TF2 when teams were figuring out who to use as a medic. People were like "I've never played medic before" and others replied with "don't worry, it's easy, just play it". Even now people still show that class no respect but considering how important it is, I can tell you there's a HUGE difference between different medics in this game. Your decision making and timing needs to be perfect vs. top teams and that alone takes a lot of skill.
As for engineer and heavy, I still hear those comments when I'm in a scrim or pug and those classes are needed or the idea to use a heavy is brought up. People are like "how hard can this be, I'll play it". But again I see a huge difference between someone who is actually good with it and not good with it and it's usually the difference between winning and losing. A lot of the time 2 teams can be even in many areas, and the difference in the match is one engineer was better than the other. But how could one engineer be better than the other if it takes no skill to build a gun?
Even if it takes little skill to kill someone up close with a heavy, there's a lot more to using the class than that when playing top teams. Just the ability to protect your team or medic, stay alive yourself, knowing when to use the shotgun and actually having good aim with it, just putting yourself in a situation to get easy kills or be effective, and just creating breathing room for your team are all things that take skill. Those are just a few things I named but there's a lot more to the class than just holding down 1 button and spraying.

Ok this is a Sentry: Heavy/Soldier aimbot with a personal medic.
The fact this is a serious attempt at a frag video, or the fact you think this is a display of skill.

Edit2:
Ok Reptile, nevermind then ;)
That's a pretty stupid comment, considering I already posted on this thread!
Okay, other then oPlaid.. and actually I've seen an occasional Dummy post. But still, point is 150% accurate!!
i laughed at the medic blocking the B doorway in gravelpit with uber @ 3:36

he's been using that handle since the NS days, maybe even before that, so he's in no way trying to impersonate reptile
