1 clan can dominate the scene, it doesn't mean its dead. If a team folds or disbands because they lose 1 member, it says a lot about the team in question.
Some players only get satisfied when they are number 1, others like a challenge, i personally wouldn't like to be in the number 1 TF2 team, knowing that 99% of matches you go into are going to be a victory... but some people enjoy this and enjoy being king of the hill.
You have to wait and see how things pan out, for all you know, 20id's replacement could have a huge impact on the team... individual player skill plays a role, but team work can play a much greater role in a team being successful or not. For all you know, this guy from 20id might not 'click' with the pandemic squad while the new 20id member might.
I would call the North American Competition Scene Dead, Sure its become quite dull with nothing being Done about CEVO, Pandemic just recruiting to stay on top etc. But I wouldnt call it dead. I mean all the teams have really resorted to TGL, Almost all the active CEVO-P teams are in that ladder of competition now and it seems to be going fairly well. And This whole thing about Pandemic Recruiting top players and shit, seriously give them a break, 2 of their main players left the team, what else do you expect them to do? they just wanna be at the same level they always were.
20id won TGL without alex. the loss of one player does not completely change your team. we have multiple options for class distribution going into whatever future tf2 has left. but alex is a cool guy and i will miss him telling me about his hot sister :/

It was actually the admins 'disputing' us, sort of like in the TGL playoffs last season when they banned Makaveli just before the game started off of a pub demo in a game they've never even played and then said oops sorry afterwards.
If you read my post it was sending in demos within 24 hours of the match when enigma didn't look at his email and see that we were disputed until after the 24 hour dispute window had already passed. Incidentally, this 24 hour window was made up for Xen and is not anywhere in the TGL rules. So I sent in my stuff like 30 minutes after I heard and was still banned.
Hakaveli should know better than to toggle on in a pub! But on a serious note, that kind of sucks. They should have made sure they got in contact with you guys first and then give you 24 hours from that time.
The problem with TF2 right now is how crappy the current leagues are.
If TF2 had a good league, the clan scene would be in considerably better shape. However, it seems stupid admins abound in every league, ruining things for everyone.
The fact that xen got banned from TGL because they did not submit demo's on time is just loltastic. What ever happened to "innocent until proven guility?" And of course this will not be revoked, because admins can never admit that they wrong (which is prideful, not only a sin but just wrong in general).
It's not "dead".... yet there are still 5ish powerhouse teams that are imo better than all of euro comp individually but there are just no leagues that bring them together to compete... Just random scrims and scruby TGL league
