EG vs coL
coL has not lost a match in weeks. Their teamwork is crisp and their new players are starting to find their respective roles well. Paladin is top fragging and oPlaid is 2-shot'ing, good luck to any team ready to play these guys.
EG has finally found the unlikely hero. Cyzer. Known throughout the community as being hot-n-cold and only coming through in scrims, Cyzer has stepped up to lead EG is basically every match in the last couple weeks. Expect Cyzer to continue with his Quake aim and easily topfrag for his team. Cyzer's respective partner, while technically a sound player, Amrit has found the bottom of the scoreboard on a consistent basis. Expect Destro, Cyzer, and Hero to determine where EG lands in the CEVO placement.
Destro will create a lot of pressure. Cyzer will force coL's medic to pp uber early a lot. Reptile will reign destruction from the heights, and a young Hell will have his coming out party.

MoB vs Loaded
MoB has a stacked roster. Big names, big egos, and a organization to follow, MoB has an opportunity to turn heads and beat the reigning champions, Loaded. Tech has had FPS issues, so time will tell if he can be the impact player of the past or the leader of the present. Justin and Scknss will have strong rounds and weak rounds. Both excel and start rolling with any kind of support from their combo. That being said, with solid heals from TheFragile, expect Blackstar to lead the charges and retreats.
Loaded is in a weird situation. Roster members vacation, just not being around, etc. Meaningless when you have the ultimate playmaker, CarnageJohnson. This scout can single handedly win rounds. Aggresive and punctual, yes... unbeatable? No. Carnage wont be the issue though. Animeman and SOlidSnake need to make plays. Dont confuse circumstantial kills with the ability to turn a bad situation into a good one by making the right decision.
Expect Phantom to fail. Expect Carnage to win rounds. Expect scknss to battle Carnage in a sniper duel, and win. Dont expect "Enigma" to show up again.
Should get an AI relay up for the next 2 matches. I don't even know where to find the info for the source tv's anymore, outside of the ESEA leagues. :|
its not so much the lack of knowledge of IPs on irc as the fact theyre not being relayed at all. I know litany used to do it for pretty much free just out of kindness and generosity but you cant really rely on other people to get jobs done.
CEVO is not the league ESEA is. ESEA admins are accessible, and involved in the community and the games they lead.
CEVO admins hide in their ventrillo, dont respond in their IRC channel and dont tell people whats going on. TBH i didnt know the OCZ tourny was even still going, let alone that it was in the finals.
CEVO should be the ones posting relays. at least ESEA has that one page of scrims/matches for the night with all the tvs listed so its accessible.
like i said u cant be relying on litany and AI to be relaying the finals of these matches, it needs to be the league promoting itself by relaying these matches. although id love litany more than i already do if he relayed these again.
yeah cevo sucks I hate getting to pick my own server and actually loading the right configs, i like playing on esea where dustbowl stopwatch games are ruined because admins dont understand what a config is
11 - Couple points I would like to make. For one, CEVO admins are thoroughly involved in the community. There are two CEVO TF2 admins: myself (CEVO|Clay) and glue (CEVO|Aschow). I run http://communityfortress.com , play on a new but solid TF2 team, and helped get #tf2.pug.na off the ground. glue plays for Loaded as their medic (and has played for multiple top-tier TF2 teams), does a ton of work relating to the top TF2 teams, and handles a lot of the CEVO workload. I am not going to argue CEVO's usefulness/level of involvement relative to ESEA but I will state for the record that the two CEVO TF2 admins are more than involved in the community.
My second point addresses something that I think is a legitimate concern. It is my opinion that some members of the competitive TF2 community are the 'drag' that prevents this game from taking off. The majority of the threads on this forum that are directed at organizations (ESEA, CEVO, PwnageTV, etc) seek to bash their efforts to help along a community that does NOT want to help itself. Of course, there are the enterprising individuals who have written for GotFrag in the past and who have contacted me to help with my efforts to awaken the out-of-game community through my site. There are others who actively post on a variety of league and community forums, legitimately discussing aspects of the game or current competitive action. But the majority of the community whines about problems with PTV's casting or ESEA's constant forfeits/pay to play or CEVO's small prize pot rather than making a difference. It's as if some of you guys simply do not understand that you treat the breadgivers in the community like shit. Sure, there are flaws. But if you actually care...help make a change.
Sign up to be a league admin. Write articles for my site, GotFrag, whatever. Apply to cast for PTV or any other casting organization. Upload demos and promote people doing so to GotFrag or my site. It doesn't matter the venue at which you direct your efforts...just do something and stop b!tching.
OP - I apologize for derailing your thread and you're right, CEVO OCZ coverage has been abysmal on my site too. I was hoping to do a finals writeup as you did here but I haven't had the chance. Gogogogogo Loaded!

I'm a professional gamer fan boi and as i sit here in my green style carnage hat, animeman kicks(lol), and authentic oplaid bra; I'm disgusted that you have the audacity to defend an organization that doesn't pay out its tournaments but have no problem considering a few deconstructive posts the "drag" that is holding this game back.

My post was not directed at a "few" deconstructive posts considering 80% of the posts on these forums represent general negativity. This negativity, generated by some of the fine members of this community, transfers over to the "community service" aspect of these individuals - it doesn't exist and when it does exist, it exists solely in the form of criticism.
