The "soldier" is a dopey rocket-launcher wielding RJ'er wearing an army helmet. lol.
Also, I seriously suspect the sounds for the minigun and sniper rifle were lifted straight from TF2. The firing of the minigun, and both the firing and bolt-action of the sniper rifle. It all sounds identical.
Anyway, whether the game is an homage or flagrant rip-off, it actually looks kinda cool... if not for the third-person viewpoint, with completely ruins it, as far as I'm concerned. Woulda been much better in proper first-person -- but then, the game would just be even more like TF2, and I'm sure that influenced the developers' choice.
> third-person shooter > lack of support classes like medic and engineer > furthermore, complete lack of cooperative or team-based objectives
If you look at the actual gameplay clips near the end of the video, it is wholly evident that the game will play nothing like Team Fortress 2.
That said, it's obviously derivative. And I am beginning to question whether there is some actual "theft" involved since some of the sound bytes sound like they're taken directly from TF2 (with some minor pitch-bending). However, based on how blatantly similar the sniping sequence is, I'm inclined to think that it's more of a nod to TF2 than anything.
I'm sure it's different #17, but the fact is is that they pretty much copied a lot of the TF2 formula and twisted it into something else. It still looks horrendously alike except with fanservice and a DM only approach, the latter being able to be modded.
Why are people acting like this is the worst thing to ever happen
People copy game ideas all the time. Hell, most of Korean MMOs (Most MMOs in general these days) are obvious rips off wow. Right now to the "!" above quest givers. I'm sure most of you played some horrid mod that played a lot like (but of course much worse then) CS.
korea tries to remake tf
I blame the satellites.
The "demo" is a black figurine with one eye. lol.

Also, this not only steals TF2's gameplay, but it also steals the plot from Toy Soldiers

j/k w1rex :)
I thought the same thing myself, but then I remembered that there are authentic Koreans playing.
1) Threatening the world with nukes
2) Starcraft
Leave my FPS alone.
