I think gpit-type maps kinda suck so I'm taking a different approach:
Atrophy is a mock version of tournament mode's stopwatch, where both teams get a chance at playing offense, and their final scores determine the overall winner.
In atrophy, one team defends as RED 3 open CPs; Their capture times vary from 12-15s. Upon a third capture, the first two CPs unlock, and the third unlocks after 20 seconds. The other team as BLU has 5:00 to capture the CPs as many times as possible. RED receives one minute of set-up time to prepare for the initial rush.
Each team, upon spawn, may choose from one of two teleport destinations to reach the playable map by. This allows players the chance to attack or defend the various parts of the map as they see fit. As points are captured, blue's spawn time lowers but red's remains the same, meaning that the difficulty curve as points lock is not as harsh as it could be.
After the time runs out, the teams switch and the previous defenders now get 5:00 to beat the first offense's score. After the 5:00 is up, the winner is declared and the map resets.
looks like it could be a lot of fun, one thing I noticed is that at the end of the round, the game isn't capable of understanding who won, it always reports a stalemate.
Let me present an example and you tell me if this is how the map plays:
RED defends, BLU attacks, 5:00 on the clock.
Pretend BLU takes a point by 4:30, then takes the other by 4:15, and the last at 3:30. The first two points instantly unlock at 3:30. And the third at 3:10. BLU then takes the first point again at 2:30, the second at 2:00, and the third at 1:00. Again the first two unlock, and the third unlocks at 0:40. BLU takes 1 more point.
Score at the end of the first round: BLU 7 - 0 RED
6, That's exactly how it works, but not how it plays, as each third point is quite hard to capture. You'd be hard pressed to score 7 points, but it's possible depending on the skill of your opponents.
4, The reason the first round always 'stalemates' is because no one wins in the first round- one team just sets the score to meet. Then, the defenders have to beat that score when they switch to attackers in the second round.
Whoever has the most points at the end of the 2nd round (or whenever the attackers in that round surpass the other team) wins the set of 2 rounds, and the map resets.
Ontopic: The map looks great and the stopwatch mode could work well if executed properly. But be warned, Mangy. You have opted to introduce a new style of gameplay to competitive TF2. While I applaud your efforts and your sheer map-making talent, this will only end in tears.
Don't put me in your suicide note, please.

I've only had brief private testing in 6v6 scenarios, FIX THIS FOR ME PLEASE by testing!

If you play, steam msg me or post demos/ feedback here. No aesthetic commentary, this is an alpha!
