The deadline for movie entries is now over, and the voting for the best TF2 movie has begun! You can check the entries at: http://www.pldx.com/contest/entries.html
I just watched a bunch of them and so far Jabba and prefire are my favorites. Seeing the same good frags over and over gets kinda old, but the editing on some of them is pretty ace.
Best editing does not mean a good frag video. Its like saying Michael Bay directs the best movies because they have the most explosions. I thought like this was way over edited.
prefire was wayyy too colored (to the point of it being difficult to tell who the fuck was being shot at, despite me not having any color-blindness), and in terms of editing and musical selection, World of Tomorrow did a much better job. However, my vote goes to continuum for having a theme and sticking to it, even though it had a few hiccups with carrying out its goals.
#16 the frags are all exactly the same in every one, the only thing to differentiate the movies is the editing. if you like simpler editing, then vote for the simpler one. you can't quantify "best editing".
Just by judging by the editing, continuum took the longest time to make. I'm not son of a F A G but matching the end of each frag with another is pretty hard. Changing the skybox for world of tomorow was hard, changing the color blur and sky box is almost like a transition of its own. Hard to argue which one is harder really.
Why do the majority of the videos have several of the same frags in them? Though they are great frags, the originality is lost. It's dull when you see the same thing with different music and editing 10 times over (literally).
so everybody gets a fair chance and nobody gets voted for best edited tf2 frag video just because the frags were much better. though, i do agree that it's annoying to see literally the same frag clips for every tf2 frag movie entry.

#30 http://www.pldx.com/contest/rules.html I do understand that people might be frustrated to see the same frags over and over, but at the same time, if we wouldn't have done it this way we might have gotten only a 1/5 of the entries we did. As the focus was on editing, not a single movie can win this based on having better frags.
Not sure why Tomorrow's World is rated so highly though...OK, the intro is kinda cool (and the skyboxes) but it has really bad cuts in the frag clips later on....like it's trying to cut bits out of them to make more time for the endless intro. Surely a frag vid that's got the idea backwards?
Pretty sure it cuts out all of the downtime between the frags to make the video exciting and fun to watch #39. Continuum has extended the amount of downtime between frags and so while its kind of cool to watch I really don't think it was as well done as world of tomorrow. It's transitions were a cool concept but outside of the granary frags it really felt very forced.
The one on badlands where the demoman is on a bit of a killing spree at the last point... it cuts out the bit where he misses the scout, then cuts out him actually running to the point, and then cuts out the end where his bottle kill doesn't come off but he wins anyway....
It ends up as a mess, with the guy apparently teleporting around and the clip making no sense at all.
Continuum does have great transitions, but I do think world of tomorrow is the best vid in there... as shown by the medic's facial expression in the final frag. The effects in the last quarter of Like This just annoyed me.

Like This!:
derrrrp, if it's not perfect, it shouldn't be a 10. I like the vid but there's way too many effects.

I think the top three are The World of Tomorrow, Continuum, and preFire!.

Like This, Prefire, and Contiuum have gotta be the top contestants.
Like, what was up with that random-ass huntsman in that sniper clip transition?
lmao xD
But it left out one of the best clips from some of the other vids (the ubered sniper going on a rampage)
