Okay, recently I've been having identity crisis. I started to get bored of scout, so I went to Demoman. Well, Demoman was a failure so I'm going back to the drawing board. Lately, I've been pugging and scrimming as Medic and I really enjoy it. I've been getting nothing but positive reviews from the teams and pugs i have been playing for.
Once every blue moon, I drop an uber. I always find my way out of tight situations and I only average about 5-8 deaths a game since I started playing. I'm looking for a mid team to play for in CEVO, TWL, and/or ESEA. I used to rage a lot and get mad at everyone for everything with my famous "12 year old voice."
Thanks to a friend of mine, I've realized that there is no sense in raging. Games are about fun and playing with friends. Also, you never progress as a team with people who rage on it. They always end up dieing within a few months.
Nice guy. I've never seen him medic but he was a competent demoman and scout so I'm sure he'll pick it up quick.
Also, make sure this is something you'd want to commit to. For many, medic is fun to play every once and a while, but after a long period of time it can get dull. Also the feeling of hopelessness when your team isn't playing well comes.
dchow has always been really solid purely skill-wise--I don't think that's ever been an issue. he was a great scout, and he's been medding for our team a fair amount recently and is definitely good, especially for someone who has only picked it up recently.
he used to have a problem in the past where he would sometimes rage and make bad decisions, which wasn't too fun to deal with, but luckily that hasn't been an issue for a while now. whenever we've played with dchow recently it's been a really enjoyable experience all around. dchow's a good medic, really solid all-around, and is just fun to play tf2 with.
Skill has always been a plus with dchow, attitude was hit or miss, but on a good day he was both competent and not a dick. More importantly, if he's working on his maturity issues and is focusing on a class where he has to play smart instead of hunt for med picks then he's probably more worth picking up now than ever before.
Definitely pick up Dchow if you need a medic for a month, a scout for the next month, a soldier for a third month, and a demo for the month after that.
Seriously, though, he's been pretty solid as any class he's picked. If he sticks to a role, he generally has potential at it.
decent movement and stays alive well. He's still a bit immature but i've never heard him rage like people say he did in the past. plus he can play any class in a pinch and has good dm skills.
well... if he's playing medic he can't say "OH HOAHAOHA OMG RAAPPEEDDD" as often, meaning his comms must be better -- tenfold. Therefore, I give this thread the ingin +frag of approval.
Even when dchow was a huge fag, he was still hilarious and fun to have around, just not to play with. Give him a change I guess, still pretty sure scout was his calling though =\
Dchow somehow has the ability to be good at every class without ever playing it. Has stopped raging since a while back also. Dchow has really matured a lot since the old days and would make a great pickup for most any team.
nah #25 its like how when youre in high school you gotta date the semi-weird looking girl who you know is going to be hot as fucck by the time you graduate.
Just a heads up, I'm looking for more of an established mid team everyone. I've received a few offers from teams saying that being a mid team is their goal and things like that. Well, that's really not what I'm looking for, so I don't want to waste everyone's time. I should have stated that in the first post. Thanks :)
Played with dchow the other day for the first time in awhile in pug.na and he was put on medic.
I have to say weed has definitely chilled this kid out or maybe it's just maturity but he's definitely not the same guy he was when he started. And I feel confident in saying that because I and a buddy got dchow out of the pub community and into the competitive community a long long time ago back around cevo season 2.
As recover said he can play a range of different classes and plays them very well. From scout/sniper to demo he fairs very well at the mid/high level.
Now i got to experience his medic first hand during the pug and I thought it was quite good, good communication , dodging ability and situational awareness help him a lot in his medic ability.
Definitely a good pickup for any established mid team.
