Well it is that time again. Registration for S5 will open this Wednesday, the 11th, and close Monday November 30th at 10:00pm EST.
Key Changes From Season 4 to Season 5:
* Increased prize pot from $40,000 to $45,000 * TF2 Invite LAN playoffs for the top 4 teams to go along with 1.6 and Source * Introduction of two new ESEA Network sites
The invite division is looking like it will be one of the best ones yet, and I look forward to having LAN playoffs.
Any questions or concerns that any teams have (especially ones that are hesitant on joining), I suggest you pm Torbull, notor, or myself. That is it for now :)
Regarding the LAN location: I advise any invite player to visit the ESEA site frequently because we will have polls (like this one: http://www.esea.net/index.php?s=poll&d=co.. ) possibly deciding where we hold it.
No idea, I'll know more when Torbull gets back from the S4 LAN. As for damage stats, I am really not sure. I was told to expect the Ubers Dropped stat before playoffs so yah.
Also notor and I will look into how viable a main division would be, although my instinct is not very.
QUOTE: Be sure to check back Wednesday when registration officially opens for move ups and more details on the prize pot and thanks for supporting us through our first four seasons!
#26 hopefully to attract MORE invite teams... the community is large enough its whether or not the players that belong at a high level actually play or not... they stopped playing because they lost interest... I wonder how interest is gained...
Oh my favorite time of the year....when ehFk messages me 2093829038 times a day reminding me to pay my league fee. WELL YOU KNOW WHAT EHFK?? I'LL NEVER PAY. YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME!
for me this is the time of the year ehfk gets on his knees and pleads with me to join esea-i every other day for weeks and then complains when i voice my opinion about how it is run
it was more of a reference to what he did before this past season #30, no shit he isnt going to message me now, he has refused to even talk to me for a couple months now because i'm too critical of esea's terrible rules and policies

this time last season, you decided to go with twl because it would be better competition for free (look where that ended up). in our attempts to convince you, we mostly said "join esea " or "msg us if you have any questions or want to talk about it"
shortly after this (less than 1 week), after me and ehfk had decided 'ok, kog is not going to join esea', you come back to us asking if we will let you play in invite, at which point we allowed you to (on the fact that area 51 could not play due to RL issues). If that had not happened, you would not have been in esea-i. simple enough.
since that point, you have proceeded to complain about every aspect of esea for an entire season, bugging us in every way possible, and on top of that, refusing to use the irc support system (which i must say, works pretty well, though no one in tf2 dreams of using it). regardless, me and ehfk have answered your requests, rescheduled countless matches for you, and even moved other matches around for your convenience, all while having to hear the dull noise of you whining in the background.
There is a difference between voicing your opinion and being a faggot. you are being a faggot.
i'm saying all that retarded rescheduling and fiddling with the system wouldn't have been necessary if the system wasn't terrible in the first place
excuse me for expecting competency from a pay-to-use service
i guess i should suck esea's dick like everyone else here, after all, they have no fucking idea how much of a pain it is to deal with esea's "IF IT WORKS FOR CS ITLL WORK FOR TF2" general policy
Pretty much everyone voicing support for ESEA is someone who has played/is playing in the league right now. If they felt they weren't getting a good experience they probably wouldn't be posting their support.
and half the reason i'm not leading kog anymore is because i got sick and tired of the bullshit i had to put up with when trying to schedule esea matches
want to play on tuesday at 10? sorry, only colorado servers available. oh also you couldn't play at that time anyways because two other invite teams are playing at 9:30 and by god we couldn't possibly make spectators choose between watching one game or another
whatever, i'm sure i'll get -fragged by all the low/mid idiots on gotfrag who have never had to interact with esea and their obnoxious policies and refusals to admit problems. i'll say that notor did a great job helping us work around said obnoxious policies, but they shouldn't have been there in the first place
Thank you so much for doing me the favour of playing in ESEA last season daniella, don't worry I won't be "on my knees pleading" this time. I have dealt with many teams, and many players throughout the three tf2 seasons for ESEA. I am always available and generally quite helpful, most people who have complaints bring it up in a constructive way, and I see what I can get done within the rigid ESEA system. I don't think anyone I dealt with has been as annoying as you though, and I have dealt with many annoying people.
Just an example of why I refused to deal with daniella anymore was because for a KoG vs EG match, I had to move the match 15 mins later in the system (if you factor in pregame, the match time really hasn't changed). After being informed of this, daniella managed to throw a hissy fit for the ages.
I hope everyone else has fun in the upcoming season because I already know daniella won't, no matter what happens.

The pot was also increased last year. BUT the Tf2 portion was actually decreased.
Should we expect another decrease or should we be pleasantly surprised with an increase?
from esea.
Not great, but funny enough.
