last night i had a highlander match on some horrible ctf map and when i joined, my mouse sensitivity was like 5x normal and had some kind of bizarre accel. my sensitivity value didn't change and neither did my DPI, and the mouse was fine in the tf2 menus and in windows
i thought it was the map, strangely enough, since i validated my game files and tried a local server on badlands and it worked fine but when i rejoined the original server it went screwy again, and when i joined the same server later that night when it was on a normal map it was working fine
but -- i just had the same problem again on granary. does anyone have any idea what this could be? i have an abyssus but it doesnt seem like a mouse hardware issue since it's only in-game that it's messed up, but i haven't changed anything in my configs.
[20:59] <blackbanjo> i love it when people post about technical problems but dont do ANYTHING to try and fix it themselves [20:59] <blackbanjo> not even restart the program [20:59] <blackbanjo> or even try again [20:59] <blackbanjo> fucking retards [21:00] <pigginpete> is this about me [21:00] <blackbanjo> no [21:00] <blackbanjo> new gotfag post [21:02] <pigginpete> lol smile [21:02] <pigginpete> that fag [21:03] <blackbanjo> he hates me so much it's hilarious [21:03] <blackbanjo> he is the reason that I know I succesfully troll gotfrag [21:04] <pigginpete> kid tries to tee off on everyone that isn't in his immediate group of circle jerking friends [21:06] <blackbanjo> basically [21:06] <chapin> is smile daniel [21:07] <pigginpete> yes [21:08] <chapin> fuck that kid [21:08] <pigginpete> yes
Download the latest drivers from the Razer website, don't use the CD install.
Your mouse is switching DPI on the fly to it's max to 3500 some how. Probably some option in the drivers, or lack of drivers. Most likely not a hardware issue.
lol it's nice to know that blackbanjo's band of despicable idiots hates me
in any case, reinstalling the drivers didn't work, but i don't have the same problem in other games, so i guess it's a tf2 config thing? i have the launch options that turn accel off still, and all the cfg stuff, and i haven't touched any of it in a long time. i dug through my autoexec and class cfgs and didn't see anything out of the ordinary

that's what i did. it's not a DPI problem because i can use the manual switch to up it to 1800/3500 and my sens gets even higher. there's also a weird skipping in the mouse movement that i'm uploading a video of now
Try using default configs and see if you still have the problem. If it isn't a config problem than it is probably some sort of software problem with the drivers.
I had this problem with my g5 in quake live... slamming it on my desk fixed the problem.
You can fix most computer related things by hitting them, restarting them, or reinstalling drivers/formatting windows. If someone suggests another solution your best bet is to disregard it because it's probably a waste of time.
honestly? you have a group of gotfrag trolls? the only troll there is beef whos actually funny. durban isnt a troll, he gets teary eyed because of a ranking by cbear. ingin legitimately cares about whether he receives minus frags, which is all the time, thus hes the most emo gotfrag user in the group. harbleu comes in and brags about his friend hacking, which i guess is sort of funny that youd spend time doing that on a video game.
all in all, you might as well make a group about beef because the rest of you havent made a single good post in this history of this website.
Due to a certain administrator's severe error in judgment, I've been relegated to posting under another alias for the past few days. And thanks to a heroic and clever ploy by my dear friend rk-, I'm back! So hello to all!
The timing of my banning was indeed, well, untimely. Why, you ask? Because my new book, The Pull of a Troll, went on sale yesterday! Imagine my horror when I discovered I couldn't announce my opus to the very people that helped me write it!
The Pull of a Troll is a personal account and analysis about my social experiment as a malevolent force within a tight-knit community. No, this is not a joke. This entire troll thing has been in jest--apologies to anyone's feelings that I've hurt. This was, to put it shortly, for science.
The Pull of a Troll examines the impact and following that a highly negative, albeit persistent, force can garner in a small group of people. In addition to many lovely anecdotes, including several identity-revealing close calls, I've included a scientific analysis (including everyone's favorite metric, +frags and -frags!) revealing how very sheep-like certain key users are. Special thanks to rk- for sharing the entire frag database table (shows what posts every single user has +fragged or -fragged) with yours truly.
Anyway, although this book is intended for a wide audience (you might want to skip the introductory chapter explaining what GotFrag is and some quick notes on internet terminology), I'm sure the community here will have a special appreciation for it.
Thanks for taking the time to check it out, even if you don't buy it. I can't thank everybody enough. Here's the link to the book. Thanks!
QUOTE: In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

instead, you guys should have made a group for random wisecracking nobodies who were once on a decent team but are now basically irrelevant; people who now spend their timemaking fun of Tf2 on gotfrag for +frags
then invite clockwork, make the group private and leave it
agreed with 25....IMHFO...this forum has by far some of the saddest attempts of trolling I've ever seen in a gaming community...all your "jokes" and gay little one liners are played out to no end and are not funny at all. I played CS back when 1.0 was out...anyone else who played CS for a long time should know where I'm coming from in terms of people who troll. sorry but you're gonna have to try a lot harder then that.

heres the video of the skipping i mentioned before, looks like the sensitivity is just rapidly fluctuating up and down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asIy1mc73LY
if it happens again i'll try the default config thing, thx for the suggestions ricco
