They put work, they scrim constantly, and they've done nothing but improve. Sure they might go 0-16, but if they want to do it let them. Its not like they're going to ruin the game for the rest of you idiots.

don't see why they would even accept the invite. no invite team will scrim them so they are going to scrim IM/open teams while paying money to lose ESEA matches.
rofl #15 they're the only team I can think of that has kept the same core from div 3 twl to invite and they've already stated that they're totally fine going 0-16. I suggest you don't hold your breath
For those of you who still don't get it (June), people aren't mad about this because we have something against J4F, but the fact that they are taking up the last invite slot when there are teams that are far more qualified, and WANT to be there. It's the little things like this that hurt the credibility of comp TF2 as a whole.
bind spamming aside j4f really aren't a bad group of guys and gal, and they reeeaaallly want to get better and win... but i just don't understand the logic in offering them the slot over mge/harmonic, as they're both willing to move up.
It's great that a team wants to play in invite, but then again, doesn't any team that shouldn't be there want to? I'd love to go toe-to-toe with the top-tier, to see how high level play differs from my own. But it's a waste of time for them, and a waste of time for the teams that will most likely dominate IM. MMM went 0-16, but they also lost the matches they did play by a slight margin, not a steamroll.
To be honest, the best chance they have of getting anywhere, in my eyes, is if the invite teams decide they're not worth it and give them the FFW. After all, that's how us DJ's rolled into playoffs.
Oh, and if they do turn out to be a fair fight? Go them, good to see people moving up. But couldn't they just as easily prove themselves first in IM?
Then cry to killing about the rules. If you want to protect the legitimacy of the game, you should also tell ESEA that having a vote for who plays in invite is dumb considering a tournament between the teams would show TRUE SKILL.
We have not yet had a season where invite started and ended with no teams dying but you want to complain about a team willing to stick it out to the bitter end as "hurting the legitimacy of the game".
this really isnt about the vote at all June. Nor is it anyone saying "Im better put me in coach" Its more that it hurts healthy competition to give every team in invite a free bye week. Put someone in who can compete... ffs.

MGE fucked up, Harmonic fucked up, HX and Subtlety don't give a shit, eXult wanted THPS to go invite, THPS forfeitted both play-off matches last season to give themselves a lower ranking. Leaving the only team that would actually be eligible above J4F to move up as the spacewhales and if you honestly think that's a huge fucking improvement in terms of match-up quality then you should probably watch a fucking match instead of conjecturing on gotfrag based on what catastrophe and luc are pissed about.

we have our full roster now and im confident in our ability to not die despite having a rough season but I guess esea doesnt care, what else is new.
