Even if esea did work for tf2 he wouldn't get banned immediately. Every good AC client does delayed bans so people can't figure out which hack version got them banned; makes it harder on cheat developers.
also I think you guys missed the part where turtle said (or at least implied) that it was not him in the video. He just uploaded it for me on my youtube account and stole the gotfrag post.
14 Not really well versed but there were public discussions by admins specifically about the delayed bans and why they are delayed from multiple leagues. I was referencing those. Also, how many tf2 cheaters have been caught in demo review leagues that havent been caught by the esea client? I'm not saying it works one way or another but I don't really see a reason to think either way. I think there are less cheaters than people thing that play tf2 on the esea client. Part of the reason there are so many cs and cs:s bans is that most of them come from the pugs and few come from leagues. At any given time there are around a hundred, sometimes more people playing cs pugs. At the same time there are 0 playing tf2 pugs, so there's a much smaller pug sample size to get bans from.
18, you can do the same with other league ac clients and in other games. Somebody made the decision when ac clients were just getting big to delay bans and that's the way it's been ever since. I think I agree with you that I hate the fact that it is possible to get cheated on at all, but I can see where esea is coming from in trying to foil developers. I don't know which is more important I guess. Would there be more cheaters if bans were instant because maybe hacks would work better?
They both probably have hacks, but the question is do you trust them enough to think they're not hacking? I honestly don't think they're hacking in matches/scrims, but who knows I rarely watch them play. They do keep a bunch of cheat mods secret though (particle, sound, etc).
All cheating accusations must be handled via your Suspect List, we do not review demos to check if a user cheats. All cheating violations are handled via ESEA Client.
well, now what? Now that he got banned does the client not work because it's possible that they manually banned him after reading gotfrag or does it work because he got banned?
i really hope you guys understand why we never ban cheaters instantly, in any of the three games we cover
if we banned instantly, individuals who create cheats could literally sit down, create a simple cheat, try it, then have instant gratification as to whether or not it was detected
if it wasn't, they use it or sell it, if it was then it's back to the drawing board -- delaying bans creates a great deal more uncertainty and helps to slow the development process
regardless of your opinion of esea for tf2, we're considered top notch for cs anti-cheat yet if you look on youtube you'll find hundreds of cheat videos because quite simply, they're meaningless
One time I filed a dispute against some cheaters in the source league, and I included specific information on the type of cheat they were using (i had previously caught one of them in CAL). They closed the dispute and sent me a message informing me that all cheaters are eventually caught.
From the first match of the season until the beginning of playoffs they dominated the league, and were only banned at the end because somebody turned in the cheat they were using to ESEA.
ESEA PUG Sniper Frags
turtLe_: did you go big?
SO MANY TF2 ICONS I'M BLINDED AND CAN'T EVEN SEE ANY.

gl with that manual ban, lol esea
either esea client works or lpkane checks gotfrag tf2
