Sway Gaming http://www.mysway.net // #swaygaming Brandon "b" Rasheed Casey "casey" Marks Daniel "destro" Schwartz Nick "WOP" Ortolani Amrit "amr" M Chad "HERO" Holstein Aaron "AssGoblin" Stack Jason "phaser" Haddox Sway Gaming remains a bit of an x-factor for me - the talent of this team is undeniable, be it of the players themselves or the team's incredibly strong teamwork, but I really wonder how far they can go. There aren't really any big-name show stoppers on this roster (aside from some pretty wicked Trickjumps), but rather a collection of dudes who kow the game through-and-through, knowing what to do and when to do it in almost any situation thrown at them. My mind keeps going back to that cp_gravelpit match against Devastation, where Sway managed to hold A by systemically shutting down every attack Dev could muster. If Sway continues to play within themselves, working together as a complete unit, they might just turn some heads this season and climb that ladder a few notches. Xensity #xensity John "Minstrel" Fisher James "Squalid" Kirby matt "MrMakaveli" vaughn Manuel "SoLID SnaKE" Sy B "fanom" L C "enigma`" Y Benjamin "Bismal" Puig BILL "FREIGHT_TRAIN" T I always get the impression that Xensity is one of those underground teams that pop up for a match, dominate, then slip back into the abyss where no one can find them. I have no idea why that is - maybe it's the lack of website, or sponsor, or something - but they've always been a bit of an unknown quantity. The loss of yaug to Check-Six was a bit of a blow to the team, but the team's strengths have always been in other spots, anyways (demo, scout), and all are still well intact and ready to go. I really can't say one way or the other how well Xen will do this season; they consistently beat the teams they should beat, but can't seem to get ahead of any of the top clans, either, so a somewhat middle-of-the-road season seems the most likely path for these guys in Season 2. 50|Calibre http://www.50calibre.net/ // #50|cal J "dinan" F John "zeroskillz" Leider Aaron "jnkx" Griffith George "TheDeuceBox" Williams Evan "Mach" Amos chris "coolhat" sutherland sean "thenoid" swihart Chris "uN]defined" N Daniel "virulent" Fragoso Reliq, the team of a thousand names, will enter the CEVO Season 2 under the 50|Cal banner, who (as an organization) are returning to the TF2 scene after a somewhat lengthy absence. Whether the name sticks, no one really knows (or cares) - what's important is that these guys have something to prove this season. Sennheiser (under the name ferveNt) was this teams coming out party, where they stood up and said "hey, we're pretty effing good too, you know", only to crash and burn in two seperate matches when they have victory in their grasp (a bit harsh, but that's what happened). 'Talent' is what I think of when I see this roster - a very individually talented group, sporting a great scout duo and some solid soldiering, but lacking that sense of unity that can be seen in the gameplay of, say, Sway. 50|Cal is my darkhorse this season - I think more than any other team, these guys will surprise people in Season 2, but they've got a lot of work ahead of them if they want to take that next step. garret eats digusting things #nadagast Andy "emperor" Hargrave Timothy "pangu" Brilhante Timothy "mtrd" Beatch Tim "dummy" Olson Garrett "Nadagast" Mitchell Andres "andresj" Jaramillo Jeff "jmitchell" Mitchell Gella "bagelbear" Li Mike "Dion" Powell Formerly the Experiment, and also formerly dead/disbanded after reen dropped, the team 'garret eats disgusting things' (GEDT?) has some of the most notable names in the NA TF2 scene, as well as the biggest question mark stamped on 'em for this coming season. Most notably, the question of whether or not they'll even survive the season comes to the forefront of my brain, but we'll set that aside for now. Former members of 20ID, Pandemic, Experiment & The Doctors have collected themselves in a roster absolutely packed with talent but giving no hints about how serious they are heading into Season 2. Are they scrimming? Do they practice regularly? Do they have that drive to kick the crap out of their peers? I've already said it, but I really have no idea - though, it sure is gonna be fun to watch :) |
