Team Fortress 2: CEVO-P Season 2 Preview

A "waar" G
Lucas "eckm" Eckman
Ryan "rline" Proulx
R "Iceman" K
Steve "LazyEye" Clausen
Mike "blackbanjo" Fanoni
Tictac "whizzlur" Soh

actuaL is a collection of dudes from a lot of difference places, but seem to have every intention of making a solid go at this ol' TF2 thang. While I'd like to say they're going to surprise people this season, I really don't see the taking down anyone significant.. this season. If they stick together, there's no reason why they couldn't develop - and they'll definately be in the playoff hunt, as long as they beat all the clans they should beat. But, beyond that, there's just too much muscle above them right now..

Check-Six

Sven "Ruwin" Z
Justin "justin" White
Craig "NightMare`HX" Webb
Rob "bman" Reitmeier
Tim "Merlino" Merlino
Matthew "TecHNaSTy" Lorenzini
Brandon "yaug`" Yauger

I'll be honest, I'm expecting pretty big things from Check-Six (formerly GZOS) this season. The lineup is a solid group of guys who've been all over the TF2 competitive ladder, from CEVO-A Champs to CEVO-P contenders. While I don't see them taking down Pandemic or Exi anytime soon, some of the teams with more question marks around them (such as Dev or GEDT) could find themselves on the losing end of a Check-Six matchup. If their heads in the game, x6 could definately surprise some people this season, and maybe even make a run to the top 5 or higher.

Daniel "bravE" Almond
Dustin "smaka" Woods
John "Tiger" D
John "Goku" Mason
Jeff "aG.Krall" Law
Scott "FastFire" Schmidt
Melvin "king rab" Contreras
Sean "aG.waTa" Fortier
Anthony "Mummy" D

aG has returned to the TF2 scene with a collection of role players and somewhat-big names. Along with Check-Six and actuaL, aG will be one of those teams fighting for those last playoff spots, which means it's critical that they take care of business with some of the lesser talented teams. There's no denying that they're going to get beat up some weeks, but if they should drop a match to, say, sR or AI, their playoff hopes will quickly disappear.

Veneration

Jon "Adroit" Reese
Chris "Etter" Manley
Matt "Astanyx" Warren
Kerzi "SuRGe" Peterson
KRis "Napalm" D
Adam "injate" Hill
Mr "Chro" F
David "VenDetta" Smith
Robert "thetoxy" Duncan
Ryan "Gholam" Theis
Adam "m0lk" Rosen

Veneration is one of those teams on the other side of the chasm, albeit right at the front. They'd be a top team in CEVO-A without much effort, but up here in the Professional division, they're nothing but chopped liver. They're going to be chewed on, swallowed, digested, and.. err.. yeah, anyways, it's gonna be a tough season :)

Apoplexy Industries

Manavjot "Biggy" Singh
Michael "coach" Mueller
Michael "Jaeger" Marcin
Patrick "litany" Goulden
Drew "creep" Jamieson
Kyle "Spike" Fegley
D "DLMan" L
R "ww" C
Brody "tyranny" Grant
Kelly "Wombat" Miyashiro

Much like Veneration, AI's first run through the CEVO-P division is going to be a pretty harsh learning experience as they experience the top of the TF2 scene. The only real impact AI is going to have this season is as a spoiler for playoff seeds, taking rounds (or even a match) off some of the top teams and messing with their CPI rankings, but there isn't much danger of a playoff contender here.
