The Badlands, Week 5-1. CEVO-P S2 Week 5-1
While NR didn't stand up to UG as much as I was hoping for they get to try again this time around in perhaps an even harder bout for them. Regardless, I like to keep tabs on the lower tier as they kind of set the pace and standard for the Amateur division's move-ups for next season. So far, this season is easily more interesting and more competitive than the previous one and setting a positive path for the next season. Predictions. It's Badlands, which means its time for a less static and a more dynamic class lineup for teams. Look for the winning teams knowing the right time to swap classes and watch the losing ones skew in imbalance and disorientation.. ![]() United Gamers (2-6-0) v Northern Resistance (0-7-0)
Looks like last week's match was not as close as I thought it would be. If NR couldn't take a round on UG in Gravelpit perhaps they will in Badlands..but that's all I'm giving them. UG [ 5 : 1 ] NR Xensity (2-5-0) v Apoplexy Industries (3-2-0)
This matchup pretty much makes up the middle-class in P. In Xensity's earlier times, they could have been considered a higher-level team but presently I'd call this matchup a pretty even one. However, it's badlands, and that is only going to favor Xensity's fast-paced scout-dominating style. Xensity shouldn't need to shine too brightly in this one. Look for scout backcapping to take any of AI's offensive momentum back in the other direction. Xen [ 5 : 3 ] AI Veneration (3-4-0) v Sway Gaming (3-4-0)
I believe this match will be closer than a complete wipedown by Sway. Player for player, Sway outperforms Veneration but I believe Veneration has a team chemistry that will at least contend with Sway's sometimes randomness. That is not to say Sway's teamplay is horrible. If Sway makes the right calls and organizes simple but tactical uber-pushes, they should be fine. V [ 2: 5 ] Sway Pandemic (7-0-0) v Start the Reactor! (3-4-0)
"Pandemic is human after all". So Start the Reactor! is guaranteed to win this one. Pandemic lost their momentum and will just trainwreck from here. Just Kidding - it's Badlands, its David v Goliath and Pandemic won't lose a round - unless they are feeling generous. Pan [ 5 : 0 ] sR Team Dynamic (4-3-0) v LOOKING FOR SPONSOR (6-0-0)
Just because I like categorizing anything and everything I'll deem Dynamic to be the top of the middle tier. With that said, LFS is the top of the top tier or at least tapping it. Anyway, LFS will easily outclass Dynamic. While I believe LFS doesn't tend to play a fast game, they play a patient and fluid one. Look for premature uber splooges caused by LFS scout-stimulation and the type of abuse that would make any team..spread. LFS [ 5 : 1 ] Dyn iDemise (6-1-0) v Check-Six (5-2-0) MOTW
This is easily the Match of the Week and what better map to have it on? Badlands will provide the perfect environment for both teams to show their true colors. I'm expecting a very dynamic-class lineup. Look for the scouts on both teams to switch to sniper on and off as needed, a lot. Whoever wins these duals should gain the offensive momentum needed to win this match. Don't expect either team to take badlands easily, this one will be back and forth. iD [ 4 : 5 ] x6 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
