(GotFrag) Due to popular demand and the higher level of competition, Pro-Am predictions are now in session..

Its worth mentioning that the fair majority of teams have been focusing their practice on the CEVO map of the week which has led to some less than par performances by teams in general. I think this lack of practice actually makes these matches more enteraining to watch as the matches become more about adaption and dynamic play than set tried and true map strategies

The Pro-Am is still any team's game -at least for the top 10. With that said, teams should probably focus more of their attention on the CGS if they have not already. It has been rumored that the league may possibly start hosting these matches on TV or at least portions of them in this season's near future.

Anyway, here are some of the highlight match predictions..

Pro-Am Week 7

start the Reactor! (4-2-0) v Apoplexy Industries (4-2-0)
Scoreboard1H2HOTF
Apoplexy Industries1--1
Start the Reactor!----
FF

I'm sure many think this will be a very close game but I think AI will take this one without too much stress. When I first saw AI in the beginning of this season (and CEVO's) I saw a rather disorganized group of decent-skilled players who may have been misplaced in CEVO-P. Since the start, they have vastly improved as a team and have shown to have some impressive individual talent as well. That's not to say sR has not improved or is terrible. I think sR has improved as well but just not in the same league as AI. Reactor will be outclassed and I doubt they will win each beginning round's battle at mid more than once or twice.

AI [ 5 : 2 ] sR

Knights of Goku (4-2-0) v Sway Gaming (4-2-0)
Scoreboard1H2HOTF
Evil Geniuses5--5
Knights of Goku1--1

These matches are always fun to watch -at least for the first time- as they can gauge the skill-gap between Pro and Amateur. Unfortunately for the Knights of Goku, they are going to get rolled. I tend to discredit Sway's teamplay but I doubt they will need much more than the basic "stick together, don't string" fundamentals. Another match where one team will be outclassed. If KoG keeps this match close I will be very impressed and will personally make fun of Sway.

KoG [ 1 : 5 ] Sway

Devastation (5-1-0) v 4Ever Gamers (5-1-0)

Scoreboard1H2HOTF
Loaded5--5
Team Dynamic----

(Note: Devastation = iDemise / 4Ever Gamers = Dynamic)
Both teams have big matches this week in CEVO-P and both probably prioritize P before CGS so I am expecting some minor sluggish performance from both. That X-Factor will probably hurt Dynamic more as iDemise has the scout-power to benefit them more. However, if Dynamic can lay out a strong battle at mid and control the crates without underpowering their medic, they may be able to counter that advantage. iDemise tends gain momentum after adapting to their opponents gameplay. In contrast, and not to be ironic, Dynamic has a more Static-type gameplay - but it's also pretty solid and in-sync. If they don't lose too many rounds - and they won't- during this "adaption" iDemise will keep the game on Dynamic's side of the map.

iDemise [ 5 : 2 ] Dyn

Xensity (5-1-0) v Pandemic (5-1-0)
Scoreboard1H2HOTF
compLexity5--5
Xensity1--1

I don't see much of any reason to give Xen the win or even a close match here. Yes Pandemic lost to Eximius last week - but Pandemic's team character tells me they will emphasize this week more in both time and effort. Xen does have some scout power but thats about it. Look for Pandemic's soldiers to dominate the crates and lay a platforming battle down that Xen will unable to weather.

Xen [ 1 : 5 ] Pan

Eximus (LFS)(6-0-0) v Check-Six (6-0-0) MOTW
Scoreboard1H2HOTF
eMazing Gaming5--5
Check-Six1--1

Check-Six is in the spotlight again being in the second Match of the Week - this week. I think x6 has a negative factor going against them in this bout. They've added Dummy which is definitely not a bad thing, except it recently occurred and some new adaptions must be made quickly. Both teams have pretty equal individual talent. However, they differ in that LFS tends to have a standard-static game play style(which is run great) while x6 has a more dynamic and sometimes random style. Look for epic battles at mid with the soldiers grabbing for height advantage and two evenly-matched scout battles going on during transition phases and tackling some clutch uber-spoils. If this match takes awhile - and it probably will - LFS will pull through.

LFS [ 5 : 4 ] x6

eXorsus (4-2-0) v PMS|H2O (4-1-0)
Scoreboard1H2HOTF
H2O5--5
eXorsus----

No idea who these teams are but one of them is in the top 10 so I'll make a quick attempt at this one as I am falling asleep..Exorsus easily had the tougher schedule - which in this case probably means nothing. Honestly, I just don't like PMS|H20's name; therefore they will lose.

Exorsus [ 5 : 3 ] PMS|H20
