#5 - Apoplexy Industries - (9-6)
Eligible roster, as listed by CEVO: Manavjot "Biggy" Singh Michael "coach" Mueller Michael "Jaeger" Marcin Patrick "litany" Goulden Drew "creep" Jamieson Kyle "Spike" Fegley D "DLMan" L R "ww" C Brad "arch!" Moore Keith "Arx" Nichols Patrick "litany" Goulden's answers to rk's questions: 1. What have you been doing in the down time between the end of the season and now? What have you been doing to prepare for the playoffs? Playing L4D, studying, etc. Perfecting the 2 pyro, 2 heavy, 2 engi strat on dustbowl (nothing). 2. Has it been tough to get motivated for these playoffs? Do you feel like the team is ready to go? Yeah, also no one else has been playing so it's been pretty impossible to find any meaningful practice. I don't think anyone has really played since the CGS playoffs. 3. How well do you think you guys will do? No idea. 4. Any shoutouts? Comments? Compliments on rk's haircut? Shoutout to creepin in his sexy pink shirt! Preseason Prediction: Much like Veneration, AI's first run through the CEVO-P division is going to be a pretty harsh learning experience as they experience the top of the TF2 scene. The only real impact AI is going to have this season is as a spoiler for playoff seeds, taking rounds (or even a match) off some of the top teams and messing with their CPI rankings, but there isn't much danger of a playoff contender here. Playoff Prediction: lol, man did I get that one wrong. AI has proven to be the rising star of this CEVO season, improving week after week while some of their peers struggled with rosters, getting pummel'd by their betters, or just plain ol' inconsistency. Regardless of how far they've come, however, their luck is still the pits as they've got to face iDemise in the toughest opening match of the playoffs, then face Pandemic the very next match should they both prevail. Not an easy task. But I have faith in a top 4 finish at the very least - and maybe higher if they can out-do iDemise when the time comes to meet in the lower bracket again. But the more likely course is a loss R1, a run to the Lower Bracket Final (or R5), and another matchup against iDemise on cp_gravelpit, where another heartbreaking loss will bring an end to their CEVO-P S2 run. So have I predicted! Now prove it wrong! Predicted placing: 4th |
