(GotFrag) - cp_dustbowl is a thing of the past (thankfully), as the playoffs resume on a more traditional map, cp_granary. A notoriously weak map for even a practiced-Pandemic, it'll be interesting to see how they do against iDemise, who had a strong showing last round. The other UB-matchup features the battle of the Gamings, while AI, Xen, Dynamic & Check-Six are all on the lower-bracket chopping block!

eMazing Gaming v Sway Gaming

I can't really in good conscience go against eMg in this one, regardless of how little they're practicing or they're plans to have fun these playoffs. It's cp_granary, the map they quite literally pwn on. That, added to Sway's suspect win over an undermanned-x6, and you've got a match that might be competitive, but could very quickly turn into a blowout.

Apoplexy Industries v Xensity - Match of the Night

Wait... is this the CEVO playoffs, or did we go back in time to the Pro-Am? Not only are AI & Xen squaring off again, but they're doing it in the lower bracket on cp_granary... again. Anyone else think that's just too perfect?

Both teams lost gloriously in the first round, though AI's loss was a bit more of a surprise based on their off-class strengths. At any rate, my pred for this one should obvious based on the pre-playoffs predictions - AI's gotta land 4th, so that means they gotta win this one :)

You know, this is the 4th time I've re-started writin this pred, and I just can't do it. From all viewpoints, there's nothing I can say here that isn't totally undermined by the fact that neither team can necessarily guarantee 6 players in the server tomorrow night, so there's nothing left for me to do but flip a coin and hope for the best.
