(GotFrag Community Article)

First, introduce yourself please.
I am Daniel Sturdivant, live in dallas texas, go by the alias carnage

How do you like your new home at iDemise, and how do you think your lineup will compare to Pandemic?
I couldnt be happier than on idemise with my buddies from quake, I have known our entire lineup excluding glue for about 9 years

Are you guys more casual since you are all friends, or do you all share a high sense of competitiveness?
We've been scrimming daily, getting used to each other's playstyle in a different game. I think we will do well against everyone. We are playing with a disadvantage due to me being in a cast still.... but the cast comes off at the end of this month :)

How did you get the cast?
I fell and injured myself, landed on my wrist :( my right hand, aka mouse hand! now I am 4 finga death.

How glad are you to see some large and successful organizations like Pandemic, iDemise, and Frag Dominant supporting TF2 by picking up teams and doing what they can? And does this push TF2 in the right direction?
I dont see why it wouldnt, more promotion of teams supporting the community the better.

I know in Counter-Strike many teams view some demos and do a bit of scouting before a tournament, have you guys done this or thought about it? Not just for this tournament, but CEVO also?
I mean its according to who you talk to, i personally dont watch any demos.... we pretty much have just gone over the maps together to get familiar with spots and names so we dont confuse one another, as for seriousness, we all want it, have been scrimming 5 days out of the week which is pretty nice, rarely you can find a team that can actually stand eachother that much.

I have played against you and relic in some gathers and can't decide if you are good or just don't die :P but were you a tfc player or a player/fan of any other FPS games?
Relic and I have played many games together competitively. TF2 is my first fortress game, been playing about a half of year now, relic a few months. We're from quake, but have played many other titles at a professional level.

Any expectations as far as your placing for the tournament?
More of a warmup i'd say, im hoping my cast will be off for the finals... if we make it there ;) When my cast comes off its a different ballgame for our team. They are carrying my weight mostly now, soon i will be lifting theirs ;D

Have you and your teammates been practicing at all for upcoming events or is it more casual and laid back? If prizes increased and/or events became more abundant would practice become more strenuous? What about if tournaments and prizes stayed the same but the competitve scene grew drastically, even though they aren't mutually exclusive usually.
Well, as for tournaments..... i would love it if there were more for TF2, the game itself has so much potential to be spectated all around. If tournaments do come around, you can count on us being around ;)

Are you hoping you play Xensity to show that 5-0 was a fluke or that you and glue are real game changers?
Doesnt really matter who we play, will play our game the best we can :)

What do you think needs to happen, competition wise or just speaking on the game itself, for the community and competitive scene to grow?
Tournaments, thats it really, more money, more prizes, thats all that gets people to play

Last question. Since many people consider you one of the top players at your class, if you had to organize a dream lineup, who would it consist of?
hahah who knows.....

Well then, thanks for your time man. Any shout outs?
to my boys in id, letz d0 d1s.
