Alexander “cbear” Isaac predicts CEVO-Free S3 Week 4. Shaking onto preds: ICE COLD GAMING vs. STOMPFEST: Another stupid sponsor name. I see your Ice Cold gaming and raise you 1desire --- ship it. Anyway, Ice Cold is the old l2p guys, who I took a cheap shot at, and actually predded against versus the Average Joes dudes last week. They won 5-1 and have proven to me that they’re up there with ZILLAGAMING as a top contender in Atlantic and Free in general. Now, the Stompfest guys are my boys --- and they are as under the radar as a 3-0 team can be. Ax from ICG claims that his team doesn’t scrim much, and I know eric and company put in work. Look out for Brandname to beast and for this to be a very good match. I hope to see a good showing from both teams, but I think if ICG brings the A game it’s their match to win. Give me ICE COLD GAMING 5-3 in a MOTW candidate. Prove me wrong, Stompers. ZILLA GAMING vs. LEGION OF BOOM: A team that I’m afraid of: Zilla gaming. A team that is really f’n tricky and weird: LOB. Stamjallyfish and whoever is the scout partner of the day could give almost any team in tf2 trouble. If ZILLA can overcome ft’s nerdyness and Onawire’s overwhelming beauty, I don’t see much more than a small bump in the road for a team that I look forward to beating 5-0 in playoffs (lol). Watch out for stress on LOB, candidate for random meatshotter of the month, and a heck of a scout in his own regard. ZILLA 5-1. CATALYST vs. VENERATION: Another strong contender for match of the week here. The Veneration guys are no joke, and they’re starting to wind up the old try machine. A team with as much history and man-love as the Vens have, mixed with skill and the enigma known as max-f creates a serious contender in Free. This should be a slug fest between two of the best. There’s no love lost between me and Catalyst, but I’m man enough to say that they’re damn good. I’m rooting for Veneration for obvious reasons, but I’m going to go with my chiseled six-pack man gut and say CATALYST 5-3. BLITZ vs. TEAM SHIFT: No idea wtf Blitz was until I ninja checked the roster. Scyle is a beast and I seem to remember getting graped by Trautz in ammomod (note: not hard to do). Shift has the self proclaimed best soldier in tf2 Evolution and some quality players around him (s/x is another candidate for meatshotter of the month). Could be closer than I’m going to predict, but with that being said: I’ll go with SHIFT 5-1. EXORSUS vs. HIFI: Hifi took two rounds from us on a fast lane match that made certain areas of my body stiff and rigid over bloodsire’s sniping (go download the demo). Exorsus is old Papyrus, and like I said last week, one of the best teams in cevo-free. The balance of this match falls on how much Macko and noun beast. When on, noun hits like carnage and Macko is a super-crafty player (with a laughing Jesus avatar). Exo has Ice and that dog guy Rufus, along with all around depth and beasting ability. I can’t pred against them, unless they play balloons again. EXORSUS 5-2. That’s it for this week. I’ve got one of those MEGA IMPORTANT games to get ready for --- so look for my nerd self in countless scrims all week long. Thanks for reading, wish the bear luck. AI. |
