(GotFrag) - After the constant IRC harassment (by yours truly) of many dedicated and respectable TF2 players and community members, GotFrag is proud to release the first installment of the North American TF2 Rankings. These rankings will become a fixture of the GotFrag TF2 section, and will be updated regularly throughout the year at times that are deemed appropriate. The list has been determined by polling many players, community members, league admins and media folk who all submitted their top10 lists, which was then combined in a points-system to produce this list.

It comes as no surprise that Pandemic sits atop the first installment of the GotFrag TF2 Rankings with 100% of the first place votes after capturing both the CEVO Season 3 title and the ESEA Season 2 crown. It also comes as no shock that their opponents in both those matches, compLexity, sit squarely in the #2 stop with all of the 2nd place votes - though many submitters commented that either team could go 1,2 on any given night.

The middle of the list gets much tighter as Evil Geniuses, 20id and Apoplexy Industries all vie for a spot at the big kids table, with EG's solid performance in the regular season portion of CEVO S3 perhaps giving them the edge over two teams that are returning after some time away (AI for 1 season, 20id for a big longer).

Initial lists had the ill-faited Dynamic/iDemise fiasco well entrenched with those teams mentioned above, but with their collapse many of the votes ended up splitting between those three, though vPolice still managed to make the list based purely on the power of their name and its history. For the most part, the bottom half of the list is anyone's best guess, but Zilla Gaming CEVO-A crown no doubt played a factor in their seperation from the 9th and 10th spots.
