We kick off the first ESEA-Invite season after some interesting roster changes and some new teams emerge.
GotFrag.com - We kick things off, or maybe just get it out of the way now, with well. Hopefully we don't see too many dull and monotonous holds after middle. I don't foresee an abundance since it
looks like most of these matches will be quick and easy.
But, the
EG and
coL is definitely the MOTN. The TF2 teams never cease to amaze me, or show their insecurities, especially when the number one soldier Reptile is supposedly switching to demoman. I honestly can't see this being more of an advantage for them. But hey, maybe that's why I'm in open and they are in invite. EG definitely wants to start things off on the right foot, like last season. If their players are back to active status (I know yaug was busy with school) then they can definitely take this match. If they are back on their practice schedule, their plan should be to take advantage of a new and less experienced (still meshing) coL lineup. Also this is well, andaccording to oPlaiD, "We always lose well."
We also have a first showing from
pure who has a returning friend in Jaeger, which will definitely help them. They will be facing the current #1 team in Pandemic. But, keep in mind that their lineup has changed and now have animeman. It will be interesting to see how these new players aid the rise or demise of their new homes, even though both pickups are great and experienced players.
The monstrous
20id lineup debuts tonight against the returning
Virgin Police. 20id's lineup has acquired a fan base without playing a single match, including me. I'm glad to see the 20id name back in action. vPolice is returning after dying and leaving the FD organization. Hopefully they have been putting some time in, because 20id will definitely be one of the top teams this season. If FastFire has been playing as much as he bitches about trivial things, they could probably win 5-0. Yes, that just happened.
Fuyanks has blessed us with their presence from across the pond. I always enjoy watching a euro team's play style whether it be CEVO or ESEA. Although they have the same general mechanics, it still seems like a breath of fresh air. I can't predict how these guys will do since they are just a pug but I hope push has been practicing and don't go into this match blind. Push definitely deserves the invite spot and hopefully show everyone else they know so too.
