GotFrag.com - The first round of the invite playoffs started with a real shocker. 20ID shut out EG on cp_badlands, and made a couple of FaN’s in the process. EG was riding high from their victory in the upper bracket finals of the OCZ tournament over and compLexity, and had no answer to 20ID’s innovative strategy. We also saw compLexity muscle there way through a Loaded team that seems to be plagued by inactivity. Loaded seems to be far from the championship team they were in last season, while compLexity is on a roll.

The second round of the ESEA-Invite playoffs should be just as exciting as first. The top seeded compLexity takes on the early favourites in 20ID. EG and Loaded will face off against each other for the third time this season. The map is cp_granary and these matches will be nothing short of entertaining.

compLexity was impressive in their win (http://www.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=1282904) over Loaded last week and look to tear through ESEA-Invite. Dummy filled in for REP in the match and did a damn good job of that, going 26-13 and stopping Loaded in their tracks. compLexity will look to get some revenge on 20ID who handed them one of their two losses this season. 20ID is looking like the contender they were early in the season and although the FaN won’t be as affective as it was on badlands, I am sure 20ID will be ready with some interesting strategies. This match will be close showcasing the smart play of compLexitys oPlaiD, as well as solid play from 20ID’s star soldier Seagull. The overall skill of 20ID should keep them in it, but the team work and dedication of compLexity should be enough to take them to the upper bracket finals.

EG (2) vs. Loaded (4)

Both teams are coming off rather disappointing performances, and will now put their run in the playoffs on the line. The victor is guaranteed $600, while the loser will be hitting the off season earlier than they would like. EG has taken a big step forward this season and is looking to prove they can contend for a championship. Their roster has been very dedicated and will look to upset the defending ESEA and CEVO champs. Loadeds season has been a disaster. Their season was filled with missing players and inactivity, but they still managed to top EG on cp_freight the only time they played this season. It is hard to even know who will be playing for loaded in this match, but if they wish to win they will need strong play from their scouts, carnage, enigma, and fanom (whichever of the two play). EG’s team work will shine along with casey’s leadership in this match, and Loaded will close the book on a disappointing season.
