Area 51 Gaming takes on new arrivals to CEVO-M, Holocaust Brothers.
(GotFrag) - There's no doubt that the beginning, middle, and end of CEVO-M Season 4 will be a rompfest by some (
EG,
Xensity) and a total suckfest by others (
Frag`Dominant ...come on, you knew I was going there) - but there are some definite upsides to a more middling-division that should lead to a fairly entertaining season.
First off, fresh blood is always a good thing - as much a fanboy of EG or
pure as I am, it's nice to get some new squads and new faces into the top level of play every once in a while to keep folks honest and to further develop the community as a whole. Teams like
Knights of Goku or
Strickland Propane or even the aforementioned fragD, who have all been kinda beating each other up over the last few events, have to try and take that next step sooner or later, so CEVO's idea of just throwing them all together in the same division ain't too shabby. Coupled with the fact that CEVO-P has imploded by the end of these past two seasons, and the Main division becomes all the more a necessity to just keep things going. In the long run, I think Season 4 will go a long way to improving the likes of fragD &
Area 51, etc., just as some old names like Apoplexy Industires & Sway Gaming did in seasons past.
At any rate,
cp_well is the map of choice for Week 2, a classic pain-in-the-bleep pick but one that ends up being a necessity due to its even play. I would pick KoG v fragD as my MOTW, but knowing fragD's potential lineup issues I'm guessing they won't get this one in until later on in the month (boo impending weddings) - in which case, my MOTW pick goes to
Holocaust Brothers v
Area 51, which pits a badass scout duo vs cbear's sexiness. Enjoy!
